In my office in Kitty Hawk I receive zero bars,no service.In my Nags Head and Duck office I have four bars. In my Corolla office I have one bar.This is a new phone and I had very few problems with my old phone. The local provider says there is a problem with the tower. Sure hope that is it, if not this phone is going back.

After giving up on my Sprint phone I tried my friend's Verizon phone... It worked fine, even inside the house.

If I stand in just the right spot on top of the house I can just get a signal... but only on a good day.

Sprint signal is still abysmal on most of the Outer Banks. Finally brought EvDO here about 6 months ago.

brain blip... what was I thinking giving Verizon a 2, it is a zero, nada, nothing, worthless, even on my pier with visibility forever... did I mention Verizon is not very good, analog to digital and back and forth and forth and back... also on Motorola and LG phones

Phone constantly switching from poor reception to no reception without moving from my house. 3 weeks left on my contract!

Alltel

Outstanding reception since they rebuilt the Kitty Hawk tower late this summer. I've found Alltel to be pretty reliable from Corolla to Hatteras Village. Hit or miss on the 4x4 beach in Swan Beach / Carova, dicey near Oregon Inlet, and nothing on Ocracoke. Signal drops out west of the west end of Wright Memorial Bridge.
