Phone connections usually good though have had calls dropped inside my house. Data (3G) 3-4 bars (4 is max on Droid). Good connectivity. Reasonably fast downloads. Waiting for 4G LTE. No reason to change. Good service while driving to New Bern. Only dropped out of 3G a couple of times for short distances.

I can usually make a call throughout the area and don't even have any trouble traveling. I've talked to many others and I don't know of any providers that are any better. I keep hearing just to avoid Verizon for this area. I've not had any real calling problems and I'm happy with the service so I'm pretty sure I'll stay with Alltel for a while to come and would recommend them to others looking for good service.

I used to have great service with Verizon before they bought Alltel. I never dropped calls and always had signal. Now I cant even talk on the phone in my house. I have to go stand on the porch in the only spot that will work but even then it drops calls almost every conversation I have. If I wasnt under contract and their customer service wasnt so darn good I would be gone in a flash. But I just dont think that any other cell provider other than us cellular gets signal in my house. And us cellular has the worst phone selection out there.

Sprint is pathetic. Neither mine nor my wifes Sprint phone are worth a crap in this area. If I go out in the front yard, walk on one hand and jump up and down, I sometimes get one bar. I will be switching carriers very shortly. I see Verizon has now come to Goldsboro. Might check them out. Sprint PCS sucks.
