Poor to no reception. Signal varies from 1 to no connection. This is also true for newer phones. When the phone does ring you can sometimes hear the other party but they cannot hear you. Cell Phone is not an option, need land line.

I have Verizon here in Louisburg but even though they say "your covered" your NOT!. Coverage sucks around here. Dr.in any direction outside of Louisburg besides towards Raleigh and you lose coverage. What amazing is that when you look at the map we should have full 100% service. Call Verizon and they act like its your fault. Poor customer service, cant wait till my contract is up!

Verizon says they have good service. Don't believe it! Since the merge or buyout of Alltell their service has gone to pot. I can move my head and drop a call. I have to stand perfectly still when I get a signal or the call will be lost.

The reception is OK but not a home area ("Verizon Wireless") to be able to use the IN plan. I have "Extended Network" displayed. The home area is just 6 miles away towards Raleigh. Rarely is there a dropped call, and the data feature is reliable, but slow.

I have been with Verizon for several years and am finally ready to switch carriers. I live in a rural area and expect the service to be low, but Verizon has done nothing in over 7 years to improve signal stringth in this area. I also travel to DC every week and notice that Verizon claims to have coverage all the way up I95, but they do not! I drop calls constantly going up I95 until I get into a major city area. I have had Motorola phones, Kyocera PDA phones, LG phones, Nokia phones and it is not a phone issue. A friend of mine has an Alltel phone and has very good coverage at my house, where Verizon has no coverage. I am switching to Alltel.
