I live in North Wilkesboro and have AT&T, with no major complaints. I've been with them for about 4 years and have pretty much figured out where I won't have signal when I'm driving, which is mainly only in certain areas of Hays and Traphill, also on 115... and I think Purlear, but I'm never there so not a big deal for me. I used to live in Hays and had signal at my house, but it's pretty spotty around that area. I'm thinking about switching to Virgin Mobile since it's cheaper, but not sure about the service.

I've been with U.S. Cellular for several years now. Strong reception and very few dropped calls. Carolina West and AT&T aren't even in the same league. U.S. Cellular has the best, friendliest customer service and the best calling plans. Phone selection is alright, but a larger offering of models would be great.

According to the Verizon coverage map, North Wilkesboro is covered by the 3G network; however, that is not the case. I work in North Wilkesboro, and it is very hard to use a smartphone in an area with no real coverage. What is the use in even having a smartphone if you can't use it. I think that Verizon should update it's map, and be honest with people that will be using their phone in the North Wilkesboro area.

In downtown north wilkesboro and pretty much all of wilkes county my Verizon phone was roaming, which means no data unless you wanna pay exorbitant fees. What gives? Its not like N Wilkesboro is in the sticks or anything.

The main intersection, in the biggest town in Wilkes county. Dropped calls, and unusable signal in this area. What gives Nextel?
