Alltel provided very good coverage and signal strength. I and many others regret they ever sold out to Verizon. We had 4 bars of signal strength with Alltel and only get 1 bar now with Verizon. Had very few dropped calls before and now get them almost daily. Conversations have to be repeated over and over at times and even then you are questioned if you have been drinking? I would not recommend Verizon to anyone in this area needing wireless service. I can't wait till my 2 yr service agreement is up.
