no reception and no roaming on T-Mobile aside from 1 bar for a minute while on a boat about a quarter of a mile out from the town dock. if you're visiting here dont plan on using your phone. there is plenty of free wifi downtown though.

The reception is usually pretty good, but the prices are B-A-D. As soon as xtrememobile gets to town, Verizon will be G-O-N-E!

At our home on Whittaker Creek we pick up a connection about 60-70% of the time. Currently trying an external antenna - that seems to help get more bars when a connection is made. Once I get on the road and travel 55 toward New Bern reception is good.
