For all you Cingular customers. The Motorola models v180, and v220. The Motorola V5?? models do a littel better. Most if not all samsungs, all are the worst phones for reception. if you live in a poor coverage area, your best bet is Nokia, and Sony. Blackberry's of course, get the best reception, with any provider. hope this helps?

After having no service from Cingular for years, I made the switch to Nextel. Had average signal strength for two weeks, then it went to poor, After several calls to CS, and network tickets, I get the best reception yet. I new there was a problem with the network, or the tower in my area. Now it's great. The signal does fluctuate, that is the only reason I don't give them 5 bars. People living in Purlear, switch to Nextel! You will be better off.

Not good signal. But I can make and receive calls. Unlike Cingular which I could not do either. Still need more signal from Nextel, for stable calls.

Not very good signal. At least I can make and receive most calls. Unlike Cingular, who in 5 years has never provided any usable signal. However, Nextel does need to improve their signal as well. In this heavily populated area.

Not very good signal. Can make and receive calls, unlike Cingular.

Not very good reception. Better than Cingular, however. At least I can make a call with Nextel. But, Nextel needs a cell site or two in this zipcode.

Switched to Nextel from Cingular. Not the best signal, but, a lot better than Cingular. At least I can make a call.

After 5 years of suffering with no service from Cingular, switched to Nextel. They just have started adding cell sites in this county. Complained to Cingular for years, to no avail. With Nextel, I get an average of 3 bars. Sometimes less, sometimes more. So far, no fading in and out, or totally dropping calls, like Cingular.
