Verizon user here, I moved to Raleigh May of 2020 and I have never had such bad cell reception in my life.. I can't recieve or make calls as they don't come thru and call drops after a min or less, I have to drive down the street a couple blocks just to make a phone call like I'm camping or something smh..We live in this big city, the capitol at that..and yet they got us out here living like we in some backwoods ghost town.. shouldn't be no excuses for these large companies recieving all this money from customers while services are not being provided, that beat sounds like a whole lawsuit waiting to be filed by a group of ppl who are getting straight robbed on the regular🙄 On top of all that, we still remain patient and are forced to just trust what these lyin azz company reps are feeding us. I don't know about anyone else but I'm getting ready to go back to a 1996 house phone 😅 and call it a day.

Cell phone reception has deteriorated significantly over time, and calls to Verizon are of zero help. Dropped calls and calls going straight to voicemail are a regular occurrence.

I have had Verizon for decades. Moved here 6 years ago and it was fine. Gets worse every year. I don't know what happened but of course they will blame everyone else but themselves. I am assuming they have not updated equipment to handle explosive growth here. PATHETIC

AT&T has the worst coverage anywhere in The triangle, not sure why this is but if your credit is good I would go with Verizon. My family pays way too much for very inadequate cell phone reception.

I get poor reception, and I am not sure how this website is supposed to help me. It simply shows where the towers are, but how does that help? Am I supposed to move my residence?

Calls drop in this are in past couple of months. Didn't use to be a problem. Verizon just keeps having me fiddle with phone settings, but nothing improved.

About two years ago, Verizon used to be good. Now, I don't even have service standing in the middle of my backyard. So frustrated.

I am so disappointed. Having been in technology all my life throughout the country, I am simply horrified at the lack of cell coverage in this area. I'm so frustrated I don't even want to write this review. Pile on top of that the fact that neighborhoods developed years ago have HOAs that do not find it beneficial to allow other carriers to lay fiber (apart from the carrier that was allowed during development). GAH!

When we first moved into North Hills in 2013 we had good coverage. This past year our coverage has gone downhill. Multiple dropped calls each day, one bar of service at home and in the surrounding neighborhood. Multiple calls to Verizon resulted in them giving us a network extender that will piggy back off of our wifi service. Even with the extender we still drop calls. Most recent call to Verizon, the tech said there are not enough towers in this area. The more people pinging that tower while driving I- 440 or visiting the NorthHills mall area, the smaller the radius of coverage for each tower. UGH

I have ATT fiber running at 300mbs in Bryson Village off Buffaloe Rd. While the cell service is no existent T-Mobile has loaned me, for free, my own personal sort of cell tower that is connected to my high speed ATT fiber Internet. That is, when I’m home I have 5 bars (full power) that routes over my high speed ATT Internet connection. All this verified using speedtest.net. I had to upgrade my in house wireless network to 802.11 AC to get the 300mbs everywhere. I can see my neighbors on 5mhz stepping all over each other. Forget about g / n on 2.4m. So, this is a good combination. The 300mbs fiber coming into the house then going out through hard wired gigabit to my home office and 802.11ac waps to the far ends of the house for the cell phones on wpa2-aes / psk. Used a coax to Ethernet converter to go from the modem to the other side of the house. Why don’t these builders run cat6 along with coax? The T-Mobile cell tower is about a mile away where Buffaloe meets 540. That tower provides very little signal to Bryson which has about 400 homes. Bottom line… If you have the knowledge there are work around to T-Mobile not providing a good signal. Maybe 5g will make things better. If you look on speedtest.net at the world you will find the US on the lower 50% of carrier speed. Yeah, the US is high tech, right. The US is appearing to be more of a third world country. Instead of going to the moon it would be a great advantage for the government or DARPA to make US Internet the world’s fastest internet. mail@lofthouse.org
