19.6 yrs crappy reception since Sprint bought nextel. Zero bars. 2-3 mos ago something changed. Coverage map is outdated. Saw the exact same map 4 yrs ago, looks exactly the same. Claims my area is "fair" coverage, does not list poor areas.hogwash

Most of the time, I can get service. But when it goes out, it goes all the way out. For several hours today, I've had no service.

If AT&T has LTE service, one would think that includes downtown. I guess my definition of Raleigh and AT&T's differ.

I had Sprint for 11 years without a problem. I switched to Verizon and now my cell service is poor and I get spotty 3G data. Verizon made me buy a device to boost my signal but it didn't make a difference. It's pitiful that I am paying the same rates as customers who can actually rely on their cell coverage.

Have the Verizon prepaid plan for $45 a month. I've never dropped a call and almost always have 4g LTE data service while working around the garner and Raleigh area. I would highly recommend this plan for anyone who wants a reasonably priced prepaid service.

Have never had a dropped call in West Raleigh, Cary, or Chapel Hill. Always have at least 2 bars, usually more.

We rarely ever have full coverage in the house. We have both iPhones and android and neither are great getting reception. Calls in the house usually require sitting in a certain part of the house to get decent coverage and / or walking around to find where the coverage is better. Dropped calls happen but only once in awhile. Still, Verizon is probably the best of the worst right now so until someone else comes along with better service / reception, will stay with them as much as I hate them.

My phone says "no service" practically all the time in this area. Phone calls are fine, just the internet is my issue. I also have no reception when I travel in the Creedmoor area and New Light Church Rd.in Wake County. Because these areas are so rural, I avoid traveling there after dark. I've thought of switching, but from the reviews, it's hard to tell who to switch to.

I live in tribute apartments and get no reception. I had AT&T and had great reception in that location. They sent me a wifi box with little minimal success.

If you live at the Atria at Crabtree Apartments, you simply won't have service at all. Even a few miles away at my family's home off Duraleigh in the same zip code - NO BARS. I don't even have one bar, my phone says NO SERVICE no matter where I am inside my unit - or on the property anywhere outside. Service connects the moment I turn onto Glenwood, and not one second before. I love my apartment but dang, this sucks. I moved here from LA and T-Mobile was the boss there. T-Mobile has done everything they can to try to help the situation, even sending a signal booster free of charge. No dice. :(
