0-1 bar Terrible service. Too many dropped calls. Voices cut in and out a lot. Same inside and outside the home. Tried to call AT&T about the problem but calls dropped. Had to go to AT&T store to complain about issue but they did nothing.

A year ago my wife and I upgraded to LG OPTIMUS phones. Should have checked the coverage map first. Old phones worked relatively well. At my home I have one or two bars in the winter and spring months and no bars once the leaves emerge in the spring. I have to go outside make or receive calls. The saving thing is that I have a land line. The service is a disappointment as well as the phone. The phone makes pocket calls and runs apps that I have not initiated. At times there my be any number of apps running. Also 3G service is dropped and the phone has to be reset to get it working. There are three problems with my Sprint service. The service, the phone and the software. Oh well only one more year on the contract.

Bars of reception go from 0 to 1-2-4-0-0 no service,can not even make a call when on 0 my AT&T flip phone works on 0-1 bars SMART PHONES FORGOT ABOUT THE PHONE all the data in the world is no good without THE PHONE and 0000000000000 BARS. MARK

Never really have any problems with Verizon's cell service. On a very rare occasion I'll drop a call, but it's probably once every few months. Verizon is pricey, but they really do have the best cell coverage.

Lake Lynn area... had good reception until May or June, 2011... now it is lousy. Verizon gave me a ticket number and said they would get back with me... nothing.

Sprints cell coverage (especially 3G) is nearly non-existent in this area. We have had problems since day one with Sprint and Galaxy Tablet, and they kept stalling until the 30 day return was up. Their customer service is horrid, and they just keep apoligizing, hanging up on you, not returning calls. Spent literally 2 days on the phone with them trying to get them to admit that the 3G coverage in Raleigh isn't even close to satisfactory. Our Verizon version of the Galaxy Tablet has coverage all over the place. Not with Sprint. Now that we are outside of our 30 day return, they don't care. Called Samsung and their official answer is: "Jailbreak the tablet and move to a good carrier."

Reception is awful. I need to go outside to make calls or send texts. Called AT&T to complain and was told to turn the phone off and back on, which does nothing to improve the poor signal strength in this area.

I just moved here from Indiana. Had a couple of spots through the mountains with no service... hit Raleigh and have had the worst service in 6 years for ANY urban area I've traveled in. Can't get a reliable signal in my new house or within 6 blocks of home. Different parts of town drop to no bars for no apparent reason. My spouse had a LG xenon and had no service even when I could only text. Spouse now has T-Mobile and no problems making and receiving high-quality calls. I'm switching tomorrow. ATT just bought a small local carrier in NE Indiana where my family lives and their service went from great to non-existent. They now have to have micro-towers attached to their computers to get signal. ATT in Raleigh told me they do not guarantee signal inside buildings and that for $200 I could buy a micro-tower for my home. Is this the new money maker for cell companies? Charging for more equipment to make work what used to before? ATT SUCKS!

0-1X -- typically no bars. Have to go outside my house, or drive.2 miles from home. My phone used to work fine everywhere -- always a weak signal at home, but functional. Still works on a strong signal (2 bars or more) away from home. (Have had numerous calls in to Tech Support, swapped out for refurbished phone, and new battery. No improvement!) Something changed recently - approx. June 2011. Now constantly get "Network not responding", "Searching for SVC" when trying to text or call out. Can sometimes receive texts, but calls are poor quality and usually drop. Cannot reach voice mail at all. If I did not have ATT land line, I would have no phone service.

I SOOO wanted T-Mobile to work out.,. the plans are great, the price is right.. it looked perfect. Sadly, the data speed in my house was 2g.. For those new to g-ratings, 2g is basically dial-up speed. I downloaded a speed test application and I averaged about 50-60k download speed - when it actually worked. Call quality was ok in my house, but could not get reception in an office in hillsborough street when people around me were doing just fine with verizon. My assessment: the coverage is very spotty.. in places if blazingly fast, but then it falls off the cliff to 2g. I don't see much 3g coverage at all.. I can live with 3g, but not 2g. Sad.. I was hoping for better.

HORRIBLE! Service used to be average. Way worse over the past six months with four different calls to technical support (dif't reasons for the poor service given every time). Lots of others in my neighborhood with open complaint tickets. The customer service reps DO NOT CARE that I can't even get a signal in my house most of the time. I'm going to get out of y contract because of the service.

Unfortunately after the tornado that went through Raleigh on April 16, 2011 My cell reception has gone to zero. I now say I live in the DEAD ZONE. I am being advised that the 3 towers that were lost during the tornado will be up and functional by the end of the month of JUNE.

My signal is awful all over the place around here. It rapidly fluctuates between 0-4 bars, usually around 1 bar.

Vzw coverage in NW Raleigh is on the decline. You would think since the merger with Alltel things would improve. Not the case.

On April 16th a tornado hit between Louisburg road and Buffalo road, God bless those who were profoundly affected by those tornados. Boost Mobile / Sprint service no longer exists in this area now. I get no service in the majority of my home. If I stand by my window facing buffalo road I can get three bars. If I am in my room, which also faces buffalo road I can catch 3 bars, but I cannot move an inch or I will lose all signals and the call will be lost. Has anyone else had this problem and if so have you attempted to call Sprint or Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile has the worst customer service I have every experienced, hence the $60 dollar plan. Wow what a horrible sacrifice. I know Boost is on Sprints network, so if there are any Sprint customers who are experiencing this same problem please post any updates you may have. I finally got a live person with boost and they told me May 12th was the expected repair date and I called them on May 13th. I then went to a Sprint store and the guy told my there were 3 towers down and Sprint was aware of the problem. He also stated that the towers where scheduled to be back up by June 9th. Well it is now June 11th 2011 and I still have no service. I really don't care for paying for something that doesn't work. Boost has a great rate plan for BBs and it is what attracts me to them, but if this is not resolved very soon I will be switching providers. Just cancelled my contract but had to go through BBB to do it. There is very poor signal strength in or near any structure. Worse, they will offer you an a signal booster (airave) to improve your signal strength, then charge you an activation fee and monthly fee despite the fact that it is their problem to begin with. If you live anywhere near this area I have received an admittance of problems with the towers in this area especially after the recent tornados. Also, regardless how genuine you are, there escalation department will ultimately tell you (as I was told) that I should have returned my phone within the allowed thirty day money-back guarantee and should have done my recent homework before I decided to go with Sprint. The reps words exactly. I felt the need to inform everyone because I don't want you to go through what I went through. I have Verizon and was very happy with the signal strength here in Raleigh. I could talk from anywhere in any place. It's worth the extra $25 per month!

For the past 5-7 days I have had non-existent service, at best one bar. Standing outside I may get one bar, two at most. If I drive South on Lead Mine Rd, it takes about two miles before I can get reception. This has been a recent problem. The bigger problem is Verizon's useless support. Call from a land-line, I don't have a land-line. In the next day or so, I am changing phone carriers. This morning I was unable to make an emergency call! Verizon's so called upgrades have actually been downgrades.

When Verizon and Alltell took out some of the towers last week (May, 2011), reception in our neighborhood, particularly my street went to ZERO. We get NO reception in our house (have had perfect reception for years until last week when they took down the towers) and can barely get 1 bar standing on the sidewalk. If Verizon doesn't get this fixed, we will have to switch. Who wants a phone they can't use????

Not sure what is happening with the company. There are two towers within a mile. As of 1 April, I have max signal indoors and out. By 1 May, I had poor signal on two different telephone models of with verizon. Now we drop 2 of 3 telephone calls both indoors and out. I hope we do not need 911 as I have use Verizon as our only telephone for the last 7 years. I guess it is time to give up cellular telephones and go back to the good old reliable copper hardline connections. The Verizon help desk had to call me back 4 times in 30 minutes due to dropped calls. The tech even asked me for a land line (copper) number so we could "solve" the problem. HA!

My phones been horrible these last few weeks. Going from full signal to svc unavailable. Almost every call gets dropped within a minute or two. Also getting svc unavailable message a lot when I try to text. You would expect better service living right in a big city.
