My contract is almost up and I can't wait to get out of this contract! \ / erizon is terrible! I have constant dropped calls and choppiness when I do happen to stay connected! I used to get half way decent reception, but the last six months have been awful!

Poor reception from the street, and no reception from my house. My friends Verizon phone doesn't work either.

Live down near Cedar Points Athletic complex and the reception is horrible. Have tried a few things like a TV antenna, aluminum foil and copper wire. You may get an extra bar but nothing really works, this is a true dead spot. Also neighbors have the same problem with Verizon in this area. The phone does not necessarily make the difference.

Verizon is #1 in dropped calls and apathetic customer service. I have been a Verizon customer for over 8 years. It was quite reliable until the past 2 years and especially awful for the past few months. I'm not exaggerating- over 50% of my calls are dropped. It's a several times daily occurrance. I'v contacted tech support who says they'll look into it but no one ever calls me back. When I call customer service (HA!) to follow up, Verizon keeps telling me that I'm probably dropping between towers but I work at home and am always in the same spot when the dropped calls take place. They have no explanation for this and claim they have no way to tell when calls are dropped. I'm very disappointed and now that my contract is up, I'm switching carriers. I don't know how it could possible get any worse.

TERRIBLE reception here..I ALWAYS drop calls, and I live in Falcon Ridge Townhomes and the reception there is absolutely terrible. I have to find a specific spot in which to talk on the phone, I don't get missed calls, and its just so bad. I don't know if its Verizon or not, but when I told them they didn't seem to care too much.

Terrible service, worse choice of phones. If you're not using it for direct connect, there is no reason for it. I'll be driving down the beltline, and go from 4 bars to "no service" then back to 4 bars for no apparent reason. It happens all the time. If you are inside a building, don't count on getting reliable service. I will be switching my plan come May.

I travel for business and Alltel is the one. I can count on one hadn the dropped calls I have had in 6 mos. Company is mandating a switch to Verizon smartphones. Aaargh. I want Alltel back. Best coverage in the area hands down

I get great signals sometimes and then other times I get poor signals.

Virgin piggybacks on Sprint. The phone works well all over the area. Even out in the county it picks up pretty good. My friend has a Cricket phone and gets nothing outside of Raleigh.

Forget the bars. Verizon service in this area is terrible. Verizon finally confessed that they have issues with the towers (crosstalk or some garbage). I have strong signal 4 to 5 bars but very broken conversations. It's not the phone. Other phones in the office from diferrent mfr. have the same crappy results. Verizon says thet may have the tower problem fixed one year...
