Great coverage in Roanoke Rapids and the surrounding area. It has seemed to me like it will stay strong, even indoors and I don't have any problems making or receiving a call and it's usually on full signal in Roanoke Rapids. Once you start to get on the outskirts, the signal even hangs around but I've found it will drop to 2 or 3 if you get far enough away before you pick up a tower somewhere else and then it will rise again, but I can still make a call and it sounds great all over the area. I've never had a dropped call and even though I shouldn't, I spend a lot of time on the phone in the car. I have noticed a huge improvement in this part of North Carolina over the past year or so and the signal is always very good.

Still don't know why the phone doesn't ring 75% of the time, voicemails come through, outgoing calls are not a problem, called metropcs and they don't have an answer, battery life on this phone is also the pits. If you have a choice steer clear of this phone. I get unlimited everything for a total of 45.00 a month and no contract

Reception is very poor in the house. If you can make a call, you better stand in one spot or it will drop. Switched from US Cellular because of the iPhone 4S with Sprint. Wish I had stayed were I was. I have had Verizon, US Cellular, and now Sprint. Believe me, in northeastern north carolina, US Cellular has the market for signal and call quality.

US cellular has decent service but man the customer service is piss poor. They could care less about trying to keep the current customer. I have been with them for 4 years. I called about up grading phones. They tell me that I as a loyal customer for 4 years with 4 lines am entitled to pay the same price as a new customer that walks in the door. Get this, No incentives as a loyal customer for 4 years. So what. You get to pay what the new guy pays and we are going to put you on a new contract. BS. I can go on Ebay and buy new phones and not have to sign a contract. If there was anyone else in our area that had service worth a crap I would switch in a minute. Shame is no one cares about customer service or retention.

Verizon is a good company. I have been with them for 7 months since they bought alltel. both of there coverage is fantastic. I was with Alltel since 1997 and they have had coverage anywhere and 99 percent of the time they both have EVDO coverage
