I have been with Alltel since 1996 and have had no problems until June 2011. Never had dropped calls, NOW I cant take a left from my driveway without roaming then I get no service until I get further into shelby. Still drop calls after that. Alltel tells me I am picking up onto Verizon towers in Shelby. Well if thats the case I dont want Alltel or Verizon, what company is the best????? After 15 years with Alltel I really dont want to switch but thinking Imay not have a choice.

My wife, sister, daughter-in-law and brother all have Verizon and they get much better reception at our house. I've been trying to find where my closest AT&T cell tower is in an online search but haven't had any luck. Can you please help me.

Motorola is the key to good reception. Cheap phones are just that. Don't expect good reception out in the sticks with cheap phones.

I signed up with Nextel after 6 yrs of waiting to get a better coverage deal. The signal still is only fair in my neighborhood. Wish I hadn't gotten back with a two yr contract figured it would be better now but is not. LOTS of dropped calls

Since Verizon merged with Alltel our reception has been horrible. Now we can't even make calls in or out from our home anymore. It's useless to us, when we do have service it's either one bar or it's in the 'extended network' so that kills any "IN" network mobile - to - mobile free airtime calls.
