Can be talking and move 5 feet and drop the call. Sprint cell service has gotten really bad.

This is beyond pathetic. My Droid Eris works just about everywhere but Charlotte. Both at my home in North Charlotte and at work in Stanley, I teeter between one bar and zero reception. Ironically enough, my AT&T work cellphone - a Samsung dumbphone flip - gets nearly perfect reception. Can you hear me now? Nope? Okay, then.

Absolutely horrible! Cingular has the worst service of any phone I have ever had. Very tempted to cancel, but don't know if anything else is much better and with 2 phones, it's going to be expensive for us just to hope for the best with a new phone.

Cingular used to have somewhat decent reception before merger with AT&T... they don't care... they have you under contract, so they are making money... I can stand in my front yard, forget the house, and have a signal... two seconds pass... and none... .Creeks, trees... forget it... .works fine if you are on the highway or in Gastonia for the most part... but don't go where there is any trees... Maybe would work for someone who works / lives in Charlotte... As soon as I can get out of this contract, I'm going to Verizon, and I hope Cingular goes bust... and swallowed up by Verizon so that customers of Cingular can get service... .
