Sprint's signal sucks, and they charge an extra $10.00 / month for "premium data". How can I enjoy "premium data" if the 3-G download speeds crawls (to a stop sometimes). Been with Sprint for almost 7 years but, I am getting ready to take my 5 lines to Verizon.

I got my service in 1998 AND was told nc would be full coverage by 2000 now there going 4g and I do not even have 1g they do not care

Poor voice quality (drops every other syllable), phone doesn't ring, drops calls.

Just went out and got a T-Mobile to try. Coverage maps showed T-Mobile to be the best in the area. Got phone home and so far it has worse reception than my Nextel. I am going to try it outside tomorrow. Will probably be taking it back and cancel service tomorrow!

Texts fine, calls and picture / video messaging horrible! Desperate to get rid of my land line but can't rely on my cell. Anyone find anything good in this area? Found someone in Love Valley on an Alltel phone, but don't think you can get that service anymore :(

Two bars is best signal I can get. Hoped getting a 3g phone would help. It didn't! Can not get 3g signal at all unitl I get on I-40.

Reception comes and goes from two to three to zero bars randomly. Impossible to have a conversation because of the fluctuations. Sometimes I get a signal at the front door or the window, sometimes not. Alltel says that the local tower is not high enough and cannot be raised because of the airport and planes so basically we are outta luck. AND this is even with a $300 signal booster antenna.

Going into Statesville on Hwy. 21 N from Troutman the service cuts in and out and in front of the cemetry it dies completely.

Very poor reception with the Verizon service. We use to have Alltel last year. Alltel had a perfect rating at this location. If I had it to do over I would have never changed carriers. (Hide site) The grass isn't always greener.

Resident area Excellent.. bars are full and access connection is very good also travelin east to I 40 ramp on 64

There is a tower on John Long Rd.just up the street from Bell Farm Rd.- pretty consistent reception in the Hwy. 64 / Bell farm Rd.area.

Been with Altel for 2 years no reception at home, we are in between towers at Catawba and Old Mountain Rd. Hope to find a phone service that will work in my Home. No luck yet.Have Altel at work also and that phone doesn't work here. Have to go toward Statesville or toward Hickory to get reception.

No signal from Nextel on this 35 mile stretch of heavily travelled road. ?????

Absolutely No Signal In This Large Residential Area.
