I have no problems other than when going over bridge at Falls Lake dam - and sometimes I can keep that call connected even if there are some skips in conversation, but that goes away as I get back up the hill on other side.

I have Verizon and live in the Barham area of Wake Forest. I do not have any problems with service. My husband has ATT and has constant reception issues even with a booster in our home to help the ATT service.

We have poor to no reception in this area. Had to get Microcell to boost our reception because we only have cell phones, no land-line. The Microcell often does not work. Do NOT get AT&T if you will be living in this area.

I have two phones provided by Verizon and both have poor signal strength, Guarantee to drop calls and when I do get thru to the person on the other end they can barely hear me due the breaking up of the call. Waiting on my contract to expire and now looking and reading on what phones / providers may provide a better antenna design and cell tower coverage. This forum has been somewhat helpful

LG AX245 reception poorer than old v60i. Zero to 2 bars. No dependability. Dropped calls. Most locations indoors have no bars. AT&T Wireless no better at this location, but undependable or non-existant throughout most of the daily trip from this location into RTP near RDU.

Verizon has virtually no reception at this intersection, my house is near by and I can't make or receive a phone call in doors. Sprint seems to be just as bad, I'm tempted to switch to Alltel and see if they're reception is any better?

Suckered into buying "hybrid" phone. Nextel service as bad as ever. Unfortunately, like others, I need the walkie-talkie feature. Service in the area needs improvement.

Poor to Zero reception. Useless in my apartment: can make or receive only 1 call in 20. Okay otherwise in the Wake Forest area. Why can US Cell give good reception here but ATT can't??? Sayonara...

VERY poor reception in this area - spotty coverage here at best - have tried numerous phones / brands - some of which got excellent reception most other places. Verizon MUCH better in most of this area, maybe because of different CDMA frequency - Nextel recently added new tower at Lawence Rd / Bruce Garner Rd so their service is pretty good here. Have been with Alltel since they were Cellular One (13-15 Yrs?), but leaving for Verizon.
