Generally lucky to get any signal at all. My wife has Verizon and although she gets a weak signal, we can always send and receive calls on it.

Cingular is absolutely terrible where I live. There are about 3 dead spots in a 1 mile radius of where I live. I have little to no reception at my home address. I switched to SunCom after my 2 year contract expired and it has great reception in my area. Go figure--has not dropped a call yet

It's pretty funny - at my house, at best 2 bars. Go to the end of my 400ft driveway and head in towards Waxhaw, anywhere from 2 bars to full signal. I figured out pretty quickly as we were building our house, that the house itself is in a really weak spot, but we can get a good signal elsewhere on our propert.

The area around Marvin & Waxhaw is considered rural and has little or no reception. It does show up as a dead spot on Cingular's coverage map, so my 'usage' confirms this.
