Average reception, had to resort to a cell and data repeater at work. Cingular towers are rare most of cell network for Cingular devices are going through Suncom towers. Cingular changed to 10 digit dialing about three weeks ago and said nothing to anybody!

The 3 Nextel phones I have are OK if you live anywhere other than where I do, or where one of my other users live. I can use my phone wonderfully out in Albuquerque NM. But I live here! I have to get out of my house and walk up the street to get 3 bars. I have paid Nextel an average of $7000.00 a year for the last 3 years, and I guess they use it fir Nascar instead of raising their bars. Well guess what? I am now tired, and am looking for anything that will be worth whawe pay for it!

Long Time Cingular customer here. Moved from Jones Town Rd with no land line and perfect reception to Town Home on Griffith Road. Had to get a land line -- less than 2 bars!

Had Verizon for 5years without major problems. Things turned bad when I moved to NC. Service sucks in my area. Very few bars, dropped calls, even though I live on the top floor of a 3 storey apt... .and they say height matters... .how high do I need to be to get decent reception! Very disappointed with service.

I had nextel, but switched to Verizon to get a cool phone. Reception at my house is 1 bar where Nextel had full bars. If I go up the street to the entrance of Saponi Village, I get 4-5 bars. There is a cutoff right before my section of the neighborhood where the signal just dies.
