In Platte County downtown Columbus is strong. North of Lake North it gets sketchy and disappears two miles North of the Lake. Coverage is poor north of the canal going west as far as Monroe where the poor coverage extends west along Hiway 20 to the hill west of where 20 crosses the canal. Going north on the Lindsay hiway the signal drops out less than a mile north of 20 and is unreliable all the way north until within 4 miles or so of Lindsay. There the black hole continues east to a mile or so north of the Tarnov corner on 81 and goes NE to near Creston and continues on further east into much of the middle of Colfax county. In short most of SW and central Platte Co has no Alltel coverage including Monroe, Platte Center, and Tarnov.

Good reception at city center, however, I live on the west end of town and the reception is horrible. Pretty much no bars in the whole neighborhood. Good thing I live on the second floor where I can usually get 1 bar.

Great reception in Columbus, Norfolk, Grand Island and Lincoln. Good reception in Duncan. I haven't had a dropped call in a year or so. Very pleased with service. I just wish cell phone companies wouldn't charge so much.

Good reception through out city only 1 or 2 bars south of town.

Even though Sprint "claims" to have coverage by way of their map. I never get more than one, possibly two bars, anyplace in town. Half my calls end up going to voice mail, and forget about inside any buildings. Other customers I know say the same thing. Called customer care, they don't seem too concerned at all. Yikes!
