Drive around Geneva, Nebraska on a warm summer night and you will find what appears to be people wandering aimlessly around driveways, streets and sidewalks. No, the town isn't filled with drunks! The problems is with Alltel cell phone coverage. Most people in Geneva cannot get phone converage while in their homes or any other building, so you tend to see people sitting in cars, wandering the street, hanging out their windows and sitting on their roofs trying to get their cell phones to work. The city council asked that a few Alltel representatives appear at the last meeting to explain the poor service (when they claim they cover Geneva, Nebraska). No one could explain why our service was so poor, claiming that the tower was only two miles outside of town... they couldn't even decided among themselves if a "repeater" would be helpful in improving service. I've been duped by Alltel for two long. I'm going with someone else... their coverage for Geneva can't be any worse and perhaps their rates will be even cheaper! Just helping to spread the word about Alltel's corporate greed and unethical business practices.

I cant believe that along a major us highway that there is no reception! from Nebraska border to I-80 NO SERVICE.

Worst phone possible for reception. Would be better off hanging head out window and yelling to someone in another state.
