I am visiting Lincoln for two weeks and have had no service anyplace in the city. If you want cell phone service in this city, don't use T-Mobile or you will be sorry.

Id give Sprint a 4. Its not perfect just because I cannot get 4g yet even though I have a 4g phone. Maybe the people that work at Sprint and best buy should stop lieing that 4g is right around the corner when its not. Grow up people be honest. How hard is that?

I think the number of places in Lincoln where you will NOT get T-Mobile signal far exceeds the number of places where you will get their signal !

Extremely bad service. In the northern part of Lincoln someone will hardly get signal. Moreover, they don't provide 402 no. It is really bad.

My daughter and granddaughters live in Lincoln, NE. I travel once a year from Orlando to visit them. Each time, service seems slightly better but still below average. There are dead spots around town, and even in her house. From all the complaints I have read, it appears to be a Nebraska problem not any specific carrier. Daughter has Cricket, her boyfriend has Verizon with dropped calls too. There is something wrong with Nebraska. Maybe they need more towers, IDK.

I live in Austin, TX but travel to Lincoln occasionally. Normally I can get 2G around town, indoors sometimes, but usually G. I can live with that. This time I'm getting no signal or very low G in places that I have received a signal in the past. What the heck is going on? Has T-Mobile pulled out of Lincoln, NE completely? Or has AT&T already gobbled them up? I didn't mind the 2G, or the G, since I still was able to make calls. I'm highly upset by this turn of events.

I agree that AT&T has a serious DEAD ZONE in SE Nebraska in general. I moved to Lincoln from NE Kansas, and haven't been able to use my phone with AT&T service at ALL! I changed to Verizon and had much better reception, but have heard that Sprint is the way to go in my area. I will check back with what I discover!

I am switching to sprint. T-Mobile works occasionally outside and never within buildings. Do not waste your time asking them to help you figure out a solution. They will say service is good in Lincoln and then try to sell you something. I have used T-Mobile other places with no complaints, but they are worthless for Lincoln.

I have had T-Mobile for several years. This is the first time that I have had serious problems. I can sometimes receive pic messages, but never send them. Texting is mild and phone calls are often dropped or missed due to no signal in my home. During the winter I had to stand on the sidewalk in several feet of snow to take care of business calls. I have lost jobs and unemployment pay due to never getting phone calls. I am currently playing the Who's your daddy?" game with the 'searching... ' on my phone.

Cuts out about every 3rd word. Phone is completly useless. I have Verison and once you are with them don't ask for help. They will just throw you under the bus and look for new bodies to sign up.

I've had my phone for 2 years and used it all over Lincoln and Omaha all the time. Never a drop or bad reception. I also take it on vacation and have been to Colorado and New Mexico with no problems. I even used my phone once in Colorado and once in New Mexico where we were in a wilderness area and I needed to contact family. No problem! Verizon coverage rules!

Went to a party last night 45 miles south of Lincoln. No signal yet everyone around me was yacking on their phones. I think ATT has more dead zones than living ones.

Absolutely fantastic service! 4-5 bars everywhere in Lincoln! Switched from Verizon a year ago, and have never looked back. I save so much money!

I have had Verizon for 3 years, coverage definitely improved a lot, haven't had any trouble with it for a year, they are always expanding, and now that 4G is coming soon I'm definitely going to stick with Verizon, its going to make Sprint look really bad

Visiting family in Lincoln Nebraska. I travel around the country and have had ok service except here in Lincoln. I have no service with phone calls but do have delayed service with text messages. No applications that require a connection work either. Even wifi through home router doesn't work either even though it shows 3-4 bars. Without wifi I still show 1-3 bars and no phone calls can be made. Time for trac phone.

Two years of very specific service areas. I can sit on one end of my couch and get decent service, but when I get up of sit on a different spot, I lose service. On campus I could get perfect reception in certain areas of certain classrooms, but not outside. I would often run around until I get service from anywhere because I would sometimes carpool with my roommate and need to find out where he is or if he's even still on campus

I had an iPhone 2g for 3 years with 0~2 bars (2nd floor of house) and just got a iPhone 4 yesterday. Better reception was hoped for but it is still 1 bar or no reception at all even when on 2nd floor. While waiting for new phone to arrive I used my old Samsung 3g flip phone and was able to get 3g alternating with edge throughout the whole house. I-phones are not good in low signal areas--which includes too much of Lincoln!

Coverage on T-Mobile map says excellent or good, in actuality"intermittent" at best outside, and never works indoors. My Sprint phone works flawlessly in all locations in the city inside structures as well.

Stay away from Sprint. The customer service is horrible, I drop calls all the time, and I roam when I go inside a lot of places. I'm switching to Verizon later today. Sprint is horrible. Don't even waste your time.

Switched to Sprint from Alltel after I had 90 minutes credit for dropped calls in one month. Sprint has been perfect. 3 years in and no dropped calls, and I get reception everywhere in the city. Love Sprint..highly recommend them.
