T-mobile basically sucks everywhere I go. On UNL campus I have to constantly search for signal and at my apartment there are two places that get me two bars of reception - near my bedroom window and on the living room couch. Which seems a bit absurd since I'm right next to a friggen cell phone tower. T-Mobile has always given me trouble, I think I may switch to Alltel.

Shows average coverage but voices break up and calls drop. Tried an expensive aftermarket repeater to boost signal. Worked to increase to full coverage but voices still cut out and occasional dropped calls.

Just ported out my Sprint number to Consumer Cellular (no contract) which uses AT and T towers- can't make a call in my home, and barely get one to two bars reception in my drive way. When I called Consumer Cellular, they said their info shows that I am in the "best area" for reception- ha! Obviously, I'll be cancelling the plan and sending the phone back. Sprint says that I'll have to sign up for a new contract now that I ported the number out- even though I have an old phone that was no longer on a contract. I disliked the contract and billing problems with Sprint, but coverage was never an issue.

Worst coverage ever and took me 9 months for T-Mobile to tell me that they have no intentions of fixing this problem. Finally got T-Mobile to admit that the problem was not me but them, so THEY terminated my contract with o the ETF, due to it being a KNOWN coverage gap area. Granted when I signed up I was located in Houston, Tx so when I then notified them that I was indeed moving, I asked them about the coverage they said that it would work without problem 3-5 bars they said, well it turns out there were no bars. They have since canceled the service without problems YET.

I've checked the T-Mobile website and they say that the UNL campus has the highest level of reception but this is false. I have visited twice already and I can never get a signal. I sometimes get a signal in a particular spot and fail to get it again when I return there. I have no clue how I am supposed to make calls next year when I'm in college.

Great reception with Sprint in East Lincoln. Also, we often go to Omaha and while in the car my wife can visit with relatives in California and Denver along the interstate. No problems with dropped calls. A+ service.

I have had no problems with low signals in Lincoln. Especially in East Lincoln, I have had consistantly 5 bars from between 84th and 56th, Pine Lake through O. I highly recommend them in Lincoln.

I commute between Lincoln and Crete every day, and there seems to be a dead spot near the Hwy. 33 and Hwy. 77 exit. If I don't drop a call on 33 before I get to 77, it disappears on me soon after I merge onto 77.

I have been a happy Verizon custoemr for almost a year. Since march, Verizon has vastly improved their coverage in South Lincoln... no more popping into Extended Network when you shop at SouthPoint Pavilions at 27th and Pine Lake. Verizon only works up until about 10 miles west of Lincoln on Interstate, though, but the extended network and no roaming fees work well for a seamless transition. In town, I have between 50% and 100% coverage, though some buildings will block the signal if you are in doors.

I-80 and the Plate River Between Lincoln and Omaha / The SAC Museum F-105 on Display Next To the Inters intersection, Lincoln, NE 68508 |
Fri May 04, 2007 |
I commute everyday between Lincoln and Omaha on I-80. Every time I am talking on the phone and I go by the SAC Museum's F-105, my call is dropped. I joke with my friends in the Air Force, that they must have left the jammer in the plane. Also, when just coming into Lincoln, near the 56th street exit, I also have dropped calls. This has happened on different Motorola and Nokia phones.
