very poor the only available network that my phone tells me is T-Mobile's, Since I have free roaming I would love to get on somebody else's network but I don't think they are in existance.

Between A St. and O St. I always drop calls, or people call me and I answer and there's nothing. I hate Cingular, and am buying out my contract because I can't even get reception in my own home! (I live in the 8th and South St. Dead Zone.)

Works inside Lincoln, then bam - - nothing until the other side of Nebraska City. Why I ever switched to Cingular, I don't know. Should have checked out the coverage first.

T-Mobile is awful in Lincoln. Their little maps claim there is great service here--what a joke! As someone else said, absolutely no service (not even 1 bar) in the O St.bars or Gateway Mall. 27th street wasn't too bad, but Holdrege and Vine were usually only 1 or 2 bars if that. I didn't even bother trying South Lincoln--just boxed it up to send it back instead. Thank God for the two week trial period!

Everyone complains about their cell service, but in the 4 years I've been in Lincoln, I have never had a problem with Alltel. Once in a while the calls will drop, but not sure if it's me or the person I'm talking to. I always have service in buildings and all over town. Plus, I've found the majority of people in Nebraska use Alltel, so you really get your use out of the mobile to mobile minutes.

Horrible reception in buildings mostly... at the 70th and Adams YMCA, UNL campus, at home dropped calls and had weak reception. I had to cancel before the 30 days was up. They told me on the phone it was a tower issue.

We are a pre-merger AT&T customer, with poor reception at home and at work with the AT&T stamped phone which got WORSE after the merger. After repeated calls to customer service we were told that the older ATT phones didn't properly talk to the towers on both networks. So, we agreed to try an equivalent model Cingular phone, to "improve" reception. However, it has been no better with these phones; I regularly have 1 or 0 bars while in my office; my husband walks frequently between different buildings and reports that while the phone never actually gives him a "no service beep", he will still drop calls, or be unable to recieve or iniate a new call or message. This seems to be an issue in this area of south east Lincoln; farther south along Hwy. 2, or north of O street and farther signal strength is excellent and call quality is acceptable. We live near 10th and A street, and have very similar problems in our house. It is unacceptable to me, to have to be careful how I sit on the couch in the middle of the house, to make sure I don't drop my call... . the best signal in our very small, 100 yr old wooden house is 3 bars, near the window. Cingular has no options or explanations.

Not bad reception, cell tower located soutwest of the zoo. 27th street South is spotty, notiably worse towards South street, then get really good the farther south you go. there are plenty of towers south of hwy 2 where the newer part of lincoln is. It sucks that midtown people get bad reception sometimes. But for the most part I've been happy with Cingular in Lincoln.

between 10th and c to 10th and pioneers the reception is horrible if at all. Nothing like being in your city and not being able to have cell service. Cingular sucks ass.
