Absolutely fantastic service! 4-5 bars everywhere in Lincoln! Switched from Verizon a year ago, and have never looked back. I save so much money!

I have had Verizon for 3 years, coverage definitely improved a lot, haven't had any trouble with it for a year, they are always expanding, and now that 4G is coming soon I'm definitely going to stick with Verizon, its going to make Sprint look really bad

Switched to Sprint from Alltel after I had 90 minutes credit for dropped calls in one month. Sprint has been perfect. 3 years in and no dropped calls, and I get reception everywhere in the city. Love Sprint..highly recommend them.

I've tried both Sprint and Verizon (post Alltel merger), and Sprint is hands down better coverage. I had personally never dropped a call until I tried Verizon, but there's a first time for everything I guess...

Great reception with Sprint in East Lincoln. Also, we often go to Omaha and while in the car my wife can visit with relatives in California and Denver along the interstate. No problems with dropped calls. A+ service.

I have had no problems with low signals in Lincoln. Especially in East Lincoln, I have had consistantly 5 bars from between 84th and 56th, Pine Lake through O. I highly recommend them in Lincoln.

I have been a happy Verizon custoemr for almost a year. Since march, Verizon has vastly improved their coverage in South Lincoln... no more popping into Extended Network when you shop at SouthPoint Pavilions at 27th and Pine Lake. Verizon only works up until about 10 miles west of Lincoln on Interstate, though, but the extended network and no roaming fees work well for a seamless transition. In town, I have between 50% and 100% coverage, though some buildings will block the signal if you are in doors.

I have been with Alltel for about 5 Yrs and, with the exception of the first 6 months that it took me to work out some billing issues, I have had good service. I have an occasional dropped call at home but never at any other time. I travel throughout the state and have found only a few places that I've had trouble. Even some of those places have improved over the last few years with additional towers. I had trouble with my first SOHO within the first month and the Alltel rep replaced it with another unit. I had Motorola phones before the current Kyocera and had great luck with them.

I always have good service in town. Outside of city limits the coverage drops.

I never, ever, ever get less than maximum bars while in this area or while downtown. Lincoln seems pretty well supersaturated with digital Alltel towers. I do a lot of stormchasing (which takes me all over the state), and honestly, the only carrier that comes close to matching Alltel's coverage is Verizon. And that's because Verizon and Alltel share towers.
