Alltel has been in a battle with a tower in Red Oak, Iowa... .when I get my bill..there are always roaming charges for the Red Oak tower even though I make my calls in Nebraska City..my home area. I take the bill to the Alltel office, they deduct the roaming charges for the other tower then three days later my phone service is disconnected because I "didn't pay my bill" (The roaming charges that were deducted at the local office) Alltel sucks! Once my contract is up with them (July) I am hunting a new cell phone service! NEVER go with Alltel. EVER!

While waiting to buy a house I was in a motel in the center of town. Reception was fine. Moved into the house on the north side and now I must run into the front yard to get any useable coverage. Looking into an antenna booster.

It is a cell "black hole". It is probably illegal for Alltel to even advertise that they have cell coverage in this area.

Nebraska City is cursed when it comes to cellular coverage. There is legal wrangling about towers that is killing the service for the consumer.

Nebraska City, NE is suffering from some cell tower battle that is killing the cellular coverage in the area. This is a horrible area in which to attempt cellular calling.

I noticed with my Sprint PCS All America plan that I did not get any signals except at the tops of hills and near I 29.
