I moved to 90th / Harney from another east central location and now my Sprint service doesn't work at all. Even when I go outside, the reception is dropped, completely garbled. I had no probllems before the move. Everyone around here says the service is terrible. How can a city the size of Omaha have no service in the middle of town!
Overall get good reception. Only one bar in basement. No reception in most area hospitals. Reception in and out within malls. Happy with reception when traveling between Omaha and MN or Omaha and Dallas. Sometime have problems with voicemails showing up several days after the fact. Annoying! But, like I said, pretty happy most of the time and don't know if any other providers would be better. Like the GSM because you can by phones anywhere and just put your SIM card in new phone. Bought my SLVR on ebay new for a fraction of the cost!
DEAD ZONE 2 Mile Radius. I can not make or receive calls on my ATT iPhone from my office! 2nd floor, overlooks vast valley - but NO BARS... Any rogue call making it in, bets cut off.
Acquired my phone from Cingular about 2 years ago and was very pleased with service in and around Omaha. Right around the time AT&T took over, my service began to suffer. I travel Dodge many times per day and it never fails that I lose connection around 144th and Dodge. I also will receive voice mail messages from people that have called me, and my phone has not rung. I have asked callers when this has happened if my number rang or if it immediately jumped to voice mail. All have told me that my number rings several times and then goes to voice mail. AT&T customer service has been worthless in answering my questions about why service is worse now, than it was when I was a Cingular customer. I have been told that other than the name, nothing has changed as far as coverage and cell towers are concerned. I will be changing companies very soon.
T-Mobile claims to have reception in downtown Omaha by their coverage map. This address is Creighton University and there is no service anywhere. This advertising is fradulent and misleading.
Dropped calls when calling from my basement apartment. Calls diverted to my voicemail. No reception on buildings near 24th and Burt. Really good reception outside Omaha area, west country side of NE, which I travel once a year. No use in the city.
