I had Cellular One service, until Alltel bought them out. I'm not sure if Alltel turned off their towers or just totally messed them up. There are maybe two places in Waverly that I get reception and neither of them is anywhere I go. My phone continuously shuts itself off, even after I switched to an Alltel issued model. Reception on highway 6 on the drive to Lincoln is spotty at best, and the signal strength can go from 4 or 5 bars to nothing in a matter of blocks when I'm in Lincoln. It's become somewhat of a game to look at my bill and see the minute credits for dropped calls. I fully expect them to outnumber the actual usage minutes one day soon. My contract is up in March and I will not be renewing with Alltel.

Had Cellular One service (Western Wireless) and my signal and ability to send and receive calls was perfect. Alltel buys Western Wireless and from the day they took over I've had crappy reception. I signed up with Cellular One so I wouldn't have to deal with the Alltel crap and they buy the darned company. The millisecond my contract is over, I'm moving to a different company. Alltel Sucks!
