Reception was decent 6 months ago but has slowly deteriorated to one bar, and now very difficult to keep from constantly dropping calls. Main reason for us switching from Sprint to Verizon in the first place.

Almost zero coverage in and around my house. Once I'm in the car moving its good. No problems on 122 and 101.

good reception most places in town but none in house. Secondary family phones (Samsung) do worse. Verizon has better signal... But no decent phones.

Much better reception than with Cingular (dead battery overnight) or T-Mobile. Coverage maps for Sprint / Nextel also show a big hole right here.

Decent coverage throughout town and area. Some gaps remain, but far fewer than when we moved to Amherst 6 years ago.

I have had no problem using Verizon anywhere in Southern NH.

Surprisingly good reception at home. I regularly get 3-4 bars. Verizon is the only service I've had (including Cellular One and ATT) that gave this good a signal.

decent reception as long as you don't go outside. my phone will show perfect reception and then if I make a call it will lose it automatically. I have to find specific spots in my house to talk. horrible. was thinking of tmobile, but I don't know if it'll work any better here.

Cingular has got to be the worst. I never got reception until reaching 101a Amherst / Merrimack. The best part is if I was late with my bill, Cingular would call my cell # and we could bearly hear eachother as they were trying to settle my bill. I tried to convince them to let me out of my contract because of poor / no service. They didn't care. I bit the $350.00 cancelation fee for two phones and switched to Verizon. Verizon is the only service that works in the Amherst school zones. I hope this post steers away at least one potential Cingular customer. Can you hear me now, Cingular???

Little to no reception on Rte 101 around Rte 122. Verizon very good there.
