ZERO reception in downtown Bristol NH for Verizon users. Hopefully there will never be an emergency in Bristol thast requires use of a cell phone powered by Verizon's network. A DREADFUL situation for many years!
I can have one bar at my house and not be able to call out! our calls are always dropped, or we "cut in and out"! I don't want to get a land line and no other carriers are any better! We need better coverage in this area. 104 is spotty or roaming thoughout and in the actual town I can't get service.
Almost always in analog roam, sometimes in digital roam, never more than one bar. Wife's Sprint phone is worse. Friends with US Cellular have the best reception without a doubt.
Verizon continues to be a joke in and around Bristol NH, and Newfound Lake in particular. Can you hear me now, they ask? NO! at best, I can roam to analog, not digital. Since June 05 I have called and have been assured Verizon was aware of the problem and would solve it. Here we are in October 2005 - let's see 4 months - no fix. Can you hear me now, Verizon? Your company is ripping off the public with poor / no service. Time to allow us to roll over minutes? Time to allow us all a credis on our accounts? Time for a new carrier?
Had EXCELLENT reception for several years. Now "NS." Verizon claims the issue is they lease USCelluar for roaming; US Cellular says nothing can be done. (This is a resort area with upwards of 25K persons in the summer, most of whom have Verizon, since most are from MA / RI / CT.
