Dead zone at that location. Near the rotary, no problem. But closer to Beaver lake and signal strength drops off fast. This is in the winter. In summer (with leaves on trees), get no service. Upgraded to newer LG VX-5400, and only slightly better, but still dropped calls. Can't carry on conversation. Called Verizon several times. They insist that coverage on that street is fine according to technician who tested. Challenged them to call me on my phone. Cannot. They suggested upgrading my phone (but pay full retail on phone). No Thanks Demo'd the LG CU515 from AT&T at same location. Clear as a bell. Will spend $ to break Verizon contract, need cell coverage for work.

I usually had no bars of signal to occassionally 1 bar inside my woodframed house with cedar siding. I could not make or receive calls from inside and only rarely could I make them out in the yard. I put in numerous complaints to Customer and tech support at Verizon and they said they would make a check of the towers and come check signal in my area and they would call back with their findings. This went on and on and they never followed up with the calls they promised. The problem kept getting assigned a new case number so this dragged on for 5 months. They finally gave me a story that they could not by law check the signal in my neighborhood because that was against federal privacy laws. I just terminated my plan with Verizon after using their service for nearly 10 years. I went with AT&T and when I checked my new AT&T Tilt inside my house I had 2 bars and could finally make and receive calls!

About 3 years ago, cell signal strength in East Derry went from a perfect continuous 5 bars to a very sporadic 0 bars to 2 bars service. Oftentimes conversations are useless due to dropped syllables. Extremely frustrating and Verizon Wireless can't give an explanation. I'd venture a guess that, prior to the cell signal deteriorating ~3 years ago, the East Derry area was service by the antenna located atop Warner Hill Road. Looks like this is no longer the case as the last time I spoke with Verizon Wirless tech support, they said the nearest antenna was near Rt 28 somewhere, which is about 2-3 miles west of East Derry.

1 to 2 bars most of the time. If I stand near a window or door, I can usually make and continue a call. As long as I don't move even an inch - or the call will drop. This is the only place in So. NH I have problems making calls. Even in the steel encased office building I work in in Nashua, I get 5 bars all the time. And I am certainly not in an elevation hole - I'm at 450 feet ASL.

Phone was a piece of crap. Verizon in Manchester Mall played games with me. I returned to Rasio shack where I purchased it and they gave me a new one. Reception is perfect. Thanks to Radio Shack bailing Verizon out I will renew my contract

Verizon Wireless has been great for me in Derry, NH. There is always a constant 5 bars no matter where you are. The only part of the town that does not get reception is in Walmart towards Londonderry. Other than that I have gone around New England and the only place that I loose the signal is when I am in the Mountains of New Hampshire and Vermont along with Northern Maine, and right at the immidiate coast. Even in downtown Portsmouth and Hampton you have coverage of at least 2 - 3 bars. At the immidiate coast (Excluding major cities like Portland, Boston, Hyannis, Providence, New Haven, New London ect.) You get just about 1 bar but still you get a bar and if you need coverage if you keep trying you do get it eventually. The only time that I completely lost coverage was in Walmart in Derry and even then I had 1 bar most of the time (and once I left the store I had 5 bars again) I have had Verizon, AT&T, Cingular, Nextel, Sprint and T- Mobile and I am telling you I have never been happier with a cellular phone than I am now with Verizon (and I have had Verizon for 3 and a half years now). I strongly suggest that you get Verizon if you are south of about The White Mountains in New Hampshire and you don't live at the immidiate coast (right by the sea wall in Portsmouth, Hampton, Seabrook ect.)
