Nextel service SUCKS in Brig! I used to get about 10-15 dropped calls a day! I just switched to the ic502 SprintNextel phone that uses the Sprint network and Nextel's walkie-talkie. IT'S GREAT! I have 6 BARS and it's almost too clear. I feel like I'm in a studio on a mic haha. Sprint is great, Nextel sucks.

The beach in Brigantine is the place to be for Verizon service. Very strong. And with CDM-8900 even when there are no bars, a clear conversation and no dropping is possible, and even likely. You do need a tri-mode phone, however, because there are still times when an analog signal is picked up and the phone switches over, which is not a weakness, just don't get all digital, it is not worth it.

Reception seems quite sporadic in many parts of Brigantine. Particularly where I live. However, the phone creates a clear voice conversation, and I've only once dropped a call. I know the difference because I used to have an LG TM510 and great phone as far as software, but reception not so good in Brig. The Audiovox CDM-8900 is great for reception, and its weakness is in the programming.
