Left Sprint 3 years ago as their signal degenerated to the point where the phone was unusable. AT&T signal was consistently better than average for three years but I just moved to Verizon. Signal is OK. Doesn't seem as strong as the AT&T signal. The problem in East Brunswick is that the municipal government won't allow any new towers to be built. Towers in area are too far apart for consistent coverage. New development also seems to pull down signal and lack of new towers means that service will continue to degrade. Time to petition the town council?

It is a struggle everyday to get cell phone service in our home on Wooten Court... but the dead zone in East Brunswick extends out Lonczak Lane to Ryders Lane. Some days we can't get a text message out! We've called Verizon and they said they can't do anything about it.

Reception is horrible in my apartment, I alternate between no service and 2 bars. Calls are dropped quite often and simple text messages take forever to send. The reception doesn't improve until I'm closer to Ryders Lane.

It seems about half of East Brunswick gets lousy cell phone reception with Verizon. Heard rumor this was due to township ordinance prohibiting the placement of cell phone towers. Any input on this appreciated.

The coverage is so lousy that often the signal is lost during a call. Updating with *228 and selecting 2, is useless, as this only updates the roaming list for other carriers with an agreement with Verizon. They need to spend a little cash as incentive to build a tower in this area... there is so much business along the Rt. 18 corrider that I am suprised they ignore the issue. Surely customers have switched to other carriers (Sprint, Cingular) over this issue. NJ is a cash cow, the 2nd highest per capita income, and to ingnore service here indicates very poor management at the corporate business planning level and perhaps higher.

Repeated download, suggestions did not improve the call quality. I have been with Verizon for more than 5 years and calls get disconnected too often now than before. The area mentioned above is the worst area. From summer hill road to Dunhams corner road, worst coverage.

Verizon is the king. It has the best coverage i've ever used. While Cingular / ATT network worked pretty good for me, I like Vzw better. Voice quality is equal to Cingular here. At other places where my old ATT phone can't find neither Cingular nor ATT signal Vzw does have signal there. Even though it's not full bar but I can still hear the other side clearly. For this area, I recommend Vzw and Cingular.
