With my Verizon phone I can get about 2 to 3 bars here, however with ATT I get barely no coverage what so ever. The iPhone does seem to get better coverage than others with ATT in the same spot using different phones. However, ATT just simply has terrible coverage in Atlantic County.

Reception was bad there for a little while, which was blamed on their 3G launch, but now I have no problems with signal or dropping calls.

I basically have no reception all the time, and am often seen by my neighbors standing outside on my side walk to pick up one bar. I call my neighborhood the "land of no cell phones"

Sometimes going outside is the only chance for useable signal. Normally texts are okay but I have to hold the phone up to a certain window to get results for that sometimes too.

Every phone model I've owned through Verison does not work here. Star Tac, V276, Samsung 670. Calls are dropped, lost or no service is initiated. A company built a cell tower down the street at the firehouse 1 / 5 of a mile away, as soon as I find out what company owns it I will switch carriers.

No reception at all along this stretch of Somers Pt. Mays Landing Rd. Too bad Verizon can't rent some space off the new Nextel Cell tower just put up behind the fire house.

Aside from a few seconds a month when connection is inexplicably lost, I get great reception all over Atlantic County!

I would say 65-75% of Ocean Hts Ave., even right by the tower. The reception is poor to bad on most days. I have used Cingular, Sprint and Verizon and all are quite bad in this part of Atlantic County

I have been a Sprint customer for quite some time and have noticed that sprints cell phone service is very unpredictable no matter where you go. If you are in an area where there is poor signal you may get a call or only a voicemail without the phone ever ringing. If you are in an area with full signal strength, you may recieve calls or you may only get voicemails without the phone ever ringing. This has happen to me here in south Jersey, as well as in Queens, NY. I think that a cell phone companys service should be somewhat consistent. One of the biggest problems with Sprint is that if your service is poor they will blame it on the phone. Once you go in to get the phone checked out, the techs at the store will tell you the problem is with the network and send you home again. Then you call up and complain about the service and they will keep giving you the run around. You end up will horrible service, time wasted and miles on your car.
