In the last year Sprint is freaking awesome. Always a strong signal and all the way to Newark and back. They have kicked it up a notch or two. Love it!

None to poor. have to walk around the house or yard to get signal. Calls cut out, phone never rings, then poof, 2 messages, indication of missed calls... be nice if it rang first.

I've had ATT / Cingular for several years. Since getting the V180, my cell phone reception has gotten worse. I had an Ericsson which worked everywhere even in my home.

Sprint was better! Almost no service at my house despite promises made by sales rep.

I've been using Verizon for years, from the legacy BAM and it's been getting worse not better over the past two years. I've used several phones and they all drop calls frequently. There's also an echo on many calls where I can hear my own voice. I don't have much choice in carriers here because the others are worse. Outside of Hillsborough, going toward Somerville and east toward Newark, reception is much better. Reception in Manhattan, where I work, is very good. I frequently travel outside of NJ to major metro areas and all have good reception. I don't understand why Verizon doesn't improve their coverage in an area that is close to their HQ. When my contract expires in December, I am going to try another carrier, perhaps Cingular, although I have low expectations. BTW, I do not recommend LG phones. I've had several replacements for the LG VX4600 and they all drop calls. Prior to the XV4600, I had a VX4400 which was better. Before that I had Motorola and Qualcom phones that were excellent.

Please note: The max is 4 bars on this older phone. :-) It's held up pretty well. I've thought about getting a new one, but not sure it would be a good move based on friends experiences with newer phones not holding up very well. Very pleased with Verizon service overall, with Americas Choice Family Share plan. No surprises, no roaming, no long distance etc. I might spend less elsewhere, but I like knowing that it'll be the same price every month. It's a welcome change from charges for roaming, extra minutes, etc that I used to have with VZ (several years ago). Generally good coverage wherever we've travelled, unless we're really in the 'boonies'. I never imagined I'd use my cellphone as much as I do.

Useless. Had to cancel. Poor customer service to boot. On top of it, I was overcharged for the plan I signed up for.

Best reception I've gotten with ANY wireless company... and I've tried just about all of them.
