when are we going to get reception winding ways 60 acres areas?

My Verizon cell phone reception has been very poor since I moved here 2 years ago. I thought with the construction of the new cell phone tower on Manhattan St. next to the water tower the reception would go from poor to GREAT. That hasn't happened... don't understand it. I'm ready to give up on Verizon... how is reception in this area for other wireless carriers?

Jackson has grown a lot in the last decade as cell phones have become more popular. It sucks that Jackson won't allow another cell tower because it's really needed.

The Post Office and Stop and Shop are both black holes when it comes to cell phone reception. It is a known practice to see patrons say their goodbyes on their cell phones prior to entering the shopping center where they will never be heard from again until checkout. I must make sure I have a plan of attack before engaging on my quest for groceries because calling back home to ask if we have milk is not an option. It is a shame that Verizon wireless would allow this to go on for so long while they try to portray a strong network. I say the truth is in the pudding, but just make sure you are not in the frozen food section when you get this revelation. You wont be able to dial out.

I have had Verizon for years waiting for cell towers in Jackson so we can have phone service like other towns. Apparently it is not happening anytime soon so I'm switching to another provider.My cell phone has no signal in most of Jackson and my battery drains out within an hour in my car searching for a signal. A total waste of money and not reliable

It takes 5 tries to just send a text message. I don't even try to make calls. I have to tell everyone to call my house phone. I switched to Verizon cause it was cheaper. I never had this problem with AT&T. Jackson really needs to let Verizon build a tower near county line road.

Like others in Jackson if I stand at the right location toward the front of my house or stand outside, tilt my head in the right direction, and think positive I may get a signal for a short while. I generally hate mobile phones because my experience is nothing like the image Verizon likes portray. People always say they can't hear me or I can't hear them, the sound quality is poor, and it always seems there is a high probability the call will be dropped.

All who visit our home must turn off their cell phones or risk a dead battery in just a few minutes. We get zero reception in our home.

i have have Verizon for 20 years and was always hoping they would improve the towers in this area but. I see this will never happen. and have desided to change to another carrier the next time my contract runs out. unless it improves by then.

If you have Verizon wireless and come into my neighbor don't expect to get a call or a text. Brookwood 3 in Jackson, NJ get no service at all. I have to walk around my house to get a signal.

Inside my house, you're guaranteed no coverage.. no matter what the model, carrier, or religion that you pray to for signal. Additional towers are needed, or that $250.00 internet repeater Verizon now sells

Aboslutely terrible service in the whole house... dropped calls and missed calls frequent. If it werent for text messaging I dont know how I would talk to anyone. AT&T best in jackson.. at least on my side of town.

Calling Verizon doesn't help much, because they just tell you it's a poor reception area. I'd say in a 3 / 4 mile radius from Stop n Shop, I get no bars or no service. But the second I cross into Lakewood off county line rd... all my bars are there. I get nothing in my house, and most of the outside area.

When in my house I get full reception but whenever I go back in the school my reception drops to no servince or 0 bars.

VZW is the best in Jackson, actually the best in NJ. I've had every other carrier and travel all over NJ. VZW is the best. I've come to this conclusion here is a list of carriers in NJ from best to worst: 1-Verizon Wireless 2-Cingular(horrible cust. service) 3-T-Mobile 4-Sprint (horrible cust. service) 5-NEXTEL( STAY AWAY )

i get perfect reception along w. commodore and alot of streets in jackson, all I have a problem is getting on route 9 I lose all 4 bars

Very poor signal outside and rarely anything at all in the house.

I get all my bars.I was told do *18 to lock into the nearest tower.I was getting great reception before I did this... ...

Countless dropped calls,if I can even make a call, never any reception on this side of Jackson. Constantly goes in and out. I live and work in this area and when I called Verizon, the customer service rep suggested I go into a store, which I did, only to find out, that the technician was rude and really didn't care if I had reception or not. According to him there was nothing he could do. He proceeded to tell me that Jackson township wouldn't allow any more towers.

i have full reception from the tower near great adventure every where I go... .i love verizon!

I live within 7 miles of the tower located near Great Adventure and I get very poor reception and I am at a high elevation. I thought I could expect better reception from the tower located in Howell on Rte 9 at West Farms Road, but don't know who the tower belongs to. As things are, I get one, maybe two signal strength bars but get multiple call drops from my location. I get excellent reception from my work location just north of the West Farms Rd.tower.

Verizon as a whole has definatly changed throught the last year. Ever since the whole number portability has come about our service has suffered. I receive 1 bar at most throught my town and neighboring towns. I dont know if its because i live in a dead cell or of all of the new people that are now on the network but something has to be done. I have been a verizon customer for many years and have never experienced sercice like this. Not to mention the horrible customer service people... something has to be done.
