Works OK most of the time (4 bars) but come 5-7 pm every day the bars go from 0-1 with frequent dropped calls. During those times I am afraid to make any important calls, or make calls I know will be lengthy. If I stand near the first-floor kitchen window and thus facing north, reception picks up 1-2 bars, but it is still unpredictable. It must be the tower that's located on Interstate I-195, about 3 miles away. Ferequently the bars will go from 0-5 for no obvious reason. For example, when the phone is still bars will still go from 0 to 5 and back to 0 and back to 5, etc., even if I amo not moving the phone. Going to the second floor of this 2-story townhouse makes no difference in bars. This whole area is sunk in a geographical hole / depression of sorts, so I wonder if that has something to do with it.

This whole area reception comes and goes. Lots of static and interference. May have something to do with the phone model, all 3 of us had it replaced multiple times for numerous malfunctions, unfortunately AT&T will not give us another model. After 1 year, the phones are literally falling apart. Due to the poor customer service, will be looking for another carrier shortly.

When in my house I get full reception but whenever I go back in the school my reception drops to no servince or 0 bars.

VZW is the best in Jackson, actually the best in NJ. I've had every other carrier and travel all over NJ. VZW is the best. I've come to this conclusion here is a list of carriers in NJ from best to worst: 1-Verizon Wireless 2-Cingular(horrible cust. service) 3-T-Mobile 4-Sprint (horrible cust. service) 5-NEXTEL( STAY AWAY )

From the corner of rt571 to almost Don Connor there is little or no reception until you just about get in front of the police station. How ever my wife has a no frills Nokia and she get reception before I do with my Motorola V360 even when were in the same vehicle. We did a little experiment as per the T-Mobile tech guy and took my SIM card out of my phone and put it in to a Nokia 3595 that we had laying around from when my wife had a family share plan. popped the SIM card in and it works in places where the V360 didn't. I know Jackson is some what of a black hole as far as cell phone service but this proved to me it's not always the service. Before I get a new phone from T-Mobile whihc they said they have no problem giving me I might try one of those booster antenna's. The real kick in the butt is that sitting in my house the v360 works great where my Verizon piece of junk No I can't hear you now phone served as a paper weight.

i get perfect reception along w. commodore and alot of streets in jackson, all I have a problem is getting on route 9 I lose all 4 bars

Switched from T-Mobile and have had nothing but better service in Jackson and on the way down on RT.9 where T-Mobile would lose service for a bit and I really do have MORE BARS IN MORE PLACES and I also see all my bars more often then I did with tmobile

I've had Cingular for 2 years now and have always gotten reception in my house and through most of my town. Friends with Sprint and T-Mobile get nothing when visiting my house.

NEXTEL coverage is non-existent here... very disappointed, will switch when my contract is up... my brother has Cingular and gets a full signal even in the basement!

Reception ranges from 3 to 4. I tried the Verizon LG VX8100, but Verizon has very poor service in this area. No, I can't hear you now! The LG VX8100 has excellent features and I wish I could use it with TMobile. Oh well, such is life. Don't be afraid to get TMobile if you live in Jackson. There are certain areas where your phone my lose reception, but overall it beats Verizon, Sprint and Nextel with reception.

No reception inside our house, poor reception outside. Lots of dropped calls driving around the area.

1 bar at best, usually NO SERVICE. most often have to go outside for service.

Very poor signal outside and rarely anything at all in the house.

I get all my bars.I was told do *18 to lock into the nearest tower.I was getting great reception before I did this... ...

I've been with Sprint for over 5 years and have always had great service everywhere I went in NJ, UNTIL last year when I moved to Jackson. We get absolutely NO service in Jackson. I have to wait until I get out on I-195 to use my phone. Unfortunately, I've read of no better service from any other carrier, so I guess I can't switch. :(

Countless dropped calls,if I can even make a call, never any reception on this side of Jackson. Constantly goes in and out. I live and work in this area and when I called Verizon, the customer service rep suggested I go into a store, which I did, only to find out, that the technician was rude and really didn't care if I had reception or not. According to him there was nothing he could do. He proceeded to tell me that Jackson township wouldn't allow any more towers.

i have full reception from the tower near great adventure every where I go... .i love verizon!

I live within 7 miles of the tower located near Great Adventure and I get very poor reception and I am at a high elevation. I thought I could expect better reception from the tower located in Howell on Rte 9 at West Farms Road, but don't know who the tower belongs to. As things are, I get one, maybe two signal strength bars but get multiple call drops from my location. I get excellent reception from my work location just north of the West Farms Rd.tower.

No reception for about 90% of the road.

Service is ok but definitely not the greatest. I cannot get service in house or in basement.
