5 bars to none, 5 to one, 5 to one... ..up and down for the last month in the exact spot without moving. It's getting ridiculous. I can understand no reception but to have full bars down to none, this is ridiculous.

I move to Jersey City(Grove st) 1 month ago and my connection was fine. Last night (May'19) at 6pm my signal dissapeared. I still do not have any signal in my apartment. I called customer servise and got no explanation why it happend. They said that that might be a problems with my phone. Both my husnad and I have Nokia N95 and never experienced any torubles with this phone models ever. I have T mobile since 2002 and it is the first time I have such kind of problems with connection. my husnbad missed couple inmortant business call and he is about to talk to his lawer.

People must realize, that reception DOES depend on the model and quality of phone. My Ericsson Z520A does very well.. but my Motorola V551 blows chunks. I was lucky to keep 2 bars on it. Reception DOES drop to 1 bar at random times, but in general, I get 4-5 bars very consistently. There are a couple of dead-zones in the JC area. Notably along the road into Liberty State Park. Outdoors, my reception is 5 bars, nearly always. Again.. I strongly attribute this to the phone I'm using. I'll never go near Motorola again, because of this.

I had no signal ever since I moved to Jersey City from Atlanta. I got to know that my colleagues had never had a T-Mobile signal in this area / building. Many people complained many times, but nothing happened. People chose another carrier in frustration. I am waiting for my contract to get over. AVOID T-Mobile in all case.

Coverage is pretty good. FYI, Cingular has coverage underground in the Pavonia-Newport PATH station (phone gets 4-5 bars underground!). They must have integrated it with the Public Safety radiax. This map is definitely missing a lot of tower sites in Jersey City. My building has a tower, and I can see at least 5 more cell sites out my window, and none are pictured in the tower map. I used to be a T-Mobile customer, and thought coverage was pretty good in downtown JC.

Absolutely no (zero) reception from my apartment. This is ridiculous. Dear T-Mobile, I get voice and data reception on my blackberry all over the world why can't I get any reception in my Jersey City apartment? I literally have to poke my head out of the window to make calls, which inevitably last a minute or two before the single bar fades out!

The advertisement with Cingular in UNTRUE. I get dropped calls, poor signal and reception inside the apartment all the time. This became very apparent when Cingular took over my previous service, AT&T Wireless. The only advantage with Cingular is the roll-over minutes. It's very pathetic since Jersey City is just minutes away from Hoboken, Newark and New York City where reception and signal is better than average.
