i had nextel, service sucked in kearny, switched to sprint, serivce still stucks, but the reception depends a lot on your phone, I just got the fusic and havent had one problem any where

good reception.. nice new tower just put up provides coverage for this section of town

Service is very good in and around area.. definitly worth the price..

Just bought a ATT / Cingluar plan. There is a constant subtle background noise on the phone in the suburbs of manhattan. Never once had static or a background noise with Verizon after 4 years - and never used the antenna on the Verizon phone either. I thought the quality of the reception in the ATT phone would be closely comparable to the Verizon, but it is not worth the switch.

I've had Nextel for about 3yrs not... i'm pretty happy with the service but in kearny there are some dead zones. one is by the firehouse on kearny ave (where the sopranos film at the butcher shop) and the other dead zone is at the other end by the movie theater as your approaching n.arlington. other then that its fine. I have reception at my house in north arlington, all of harrison and newark. no real complains. its weird how Nextel is very good in a large area but then there will be 1 or 2 blocks that are always dead zones. I also had a dead zone in seaside heighs that covered about 2 blocks.

Drops calls reliably when driving over the Pulaski Skyway.

I get very poor reception in my house. I have to be in a certain spot for it to work. I am constantly missing calls. Very annoying. No reception in basement at all. Have to go outside on porch for reception. Strange?

Called customer service - they mentioned their maps show decent service around my house. But NO service on my phone! They are going to send a rep to check whether there are any technical issues. I have 5 more days left in the trial period - Will most likely cancel the service since the rep is not going to get something working in a day.
