My receptions indoors (2nd floor and in a room with windows) swings between 1 and 3 bars. Calls get dropped regularly. Works fine right outside the house. Verizon had me update the s / w (*228) but no improvement.

Now that the trees are in full bloom, I have zero reception in my home where I work. In the winter I had between 1 and 4 bars. T-Mobile admits that I am on the edge of their local signal and promised to fix that for me. It never happened, but I was able to learn about the weak signals being wiped out by the trees. My husband has a newer phone and gets the same awful reception in our home with T-Mobile. I am going to switch, but am at a loss. I had Nextel and never succeeded in making a call in my house-- because I am on South Mountain. The only carrier I have not tried is Sprint, so they will probably be next.

While our T720 phones are dying, and we have to decide on new phones, we won't change from Verizon. Sure, T-Mobile and Sprint and Nextel have some much neater phones but THEIR RECEPTION STINKS and after all, it's most important that we can hear people and not sound like we're in a tunnel all the time. I've tried the other carriers, getting sucked in by attractive rates and phone hardware, but they don't meet the basic test of being a good service with which to communicate. Even when we travel, the Verizon service is far and away the best and their customer service is better (if only marginally better) than the others.

Horrible reception. Most of the time my SE T610 displays "No Network" or "No Access". Could be due to being close to the South Mountain Reservation. However, my partner has a Samsung R225 with T-Mobile and he usually has 1 to 3 bars. T-Mobile refuses to give me another phone model. They will only replace the my phone with the same model (which they have and I still get no reception inside my house). Poor customer service. Will go to another carrier when contract is up in a few months.
