Called Sprint for months and they claim that its a device issue even though I had 5 phones replaced

Over the past few months service is horrible. Lots of dropped calls in our apartment. AT&T seems to be great but Verizon drops.

During the day, reception is iffy in the dorm. At night, guaranteed to lose multiple calls unless I hang by the window and don't move. Outside, on campus, reception sometimes gets to three bars and I rarely lose a call... Can someone tell me if the installation of wireless thru-out campus and in the dorms, will solve my reception problems?

Used to be great. The past month I cant use the phone in in the house at all. It drops the call immediately. What changed?

No Reception in the house, barely a signal outide. Unacceptable.

Had Verizon for the past four years with pretty good results both inside and out. Wish AT&T would improve so I could get an iPhone!

From inside my house I get perfect reception. I never had any reception with my AT&T / Cingular cell phone.

Inside Montclair State Univ. Cingular Sux Calls are Garbled and Drops like in the Bldg Parking Lot 3rd Floor and Grandstan, Cingular Drops their Ads should say "Most Dropped Call of any Wireless Carrier"

Outside - 4 stars Inside - 1 star I don't have a land line because I'm on the road most of the time, but having to keep still facing a window, or stand in the doorway is ridiculous. When in my apartment, I'm told I sound like I'm talking under water. I'm lucky if I get to finish a conversation before getting cut off. It's even worse in the summer / fall when the trees are at their fullest It seems the Montclair area generally has issues with weak reception indoors.

Reception always drops right around that spot and does not return until you're about a half mile heading south). It also drops north of the country club as you turn from Ridgewood Ave onto Watchung Ave heading east towards the GSP for about a block and a half. Very consistent with this.

One to two bars outside. And within my house, one bar by the window. Glad to see it's not just me.

I looked at the Cell Tower grid and it now makes perfect sense as to why we receive poor call reception in the Watchung Plaza area. There aren't any cell towers within this area of Montclair. With all of the hills, there isn't a clear line of sight to the ones a mile away. We need another cell tower centrally located in Montclair above Bloomfield Ave.

Reception dies yet my phone stays active, killing minutes, but Cingular feels its not a dropped call. I have to turn the phone off to kill the open line.

Winter is better, no leaves as T-Mobile said. I have signal, 2 bars in the house. Cingular let me out of my contract because I had no signal! My signal flops like a fish!

I am amazed by the poor reception quality - do not know what works best for Montclair

Suddenly this week I can make calls from my house ! We'll see what happens when the leaves grow back on the trees. Meanwhile, I've got full coverage on my Cingular / AT&T Wireless GSM phone. Was pretty spotty there for years, but least 2 years, coverage has been very good.

Routine dropped calls heading west on Harrisom approaching the West Orange border. Then its back to 5 bars of service. Also I can't us the phone much within my house. (Montclair south.)

I can't get any reception in my apt. Have to walk outside to the sidewalk. My Nextel was no problem. T-Mobile is really bad. Since I only use a cell phone, this is not good.
