Within a few minutes of any phone conversation, the call will drop or I will lose 5-15 seconds of the conversation due to static. I am on the 17th floor and even when I go by the window, the service is utterly unreliable. I don't know if it is my phone, AT&T, or my building but it is very frustrating.

I've been a Cingular customer for about a week now and I've got to say I'm very pleased with it. I used to be with Sprint and hated it. It was so frustrating when the call became staticy or disconnected, which happened with nearly every call. My work takes me to several different NJ cities every day and I haven't had problems with reception thus far.

I get no bars inside buildings. What's even more frustrating though is when I step outside again, it often takes up to 5 mins to find a signal again.

No connection in Campus Center (might be the dorms surrounding it, but it has glass windows.) 4 bars consistent in 6th floor (Redwood). go to 5th or below, facing Cypress and you get 1 or 2 bars. Cingular should really invest in the area. NJIT, UMDNJ, Rutgers and ECC are right there. Kids need phones.

I can't complain. Even though I sell it, I love my Cingular service. I haven't had any problems with it here at work and where I live. I can even use it in my place of business where as Nextel and Verizon, the call would drop as you walk towards the back of the store. If you need Cingular, even Nextel, come visit me here.

Cingular and ATT are Garbage. I am supposed to have better coverage. Instead, I get worst reception than ever before. The worst part about it is that I was talking to Customer Service and my call died right in the middle of the converstation.

Exceptional reception! Get full signal outdoor AND inside office buildings. I have even received phone calls near the core of the building.

I am fed up. I can't even talk on the phone or even get reception when I'm paying all this money.

Ever since the Cingular Company bought the older AT&T system, my reception has gone from bad to worse. Very rarely am I able to use the phone now. I spoke to the Cingular people and confirmed that they droped some cell towers that were under contract with AT&T because it interfered with some of Cingular's business agreements.

Depending on where you are. If you walk into the store, the reception drops down to 1 bar; however, if you're outside the store, it'll work well. So since I'm mostly in place of business, I would have to rate it 3 for average. I noticed with Nextel, it doesn't work too well indoors (buildings), but it does work well at home. I guess with all services, they all have their good and bad spots. Even Verizon's not perfect! If you need a phone (Cingular / Nextel), stop by. Visit my site to find the location.

SUCKS I guess I will open my service where u get awesome phone, and for 29.99 bucks u get unlimited minutes. also the coverage wud be great all you have to do is go 1 mile up in the air to get it!.. WTF I am so annoyed at no services places by T-Mobile.. it sucks. they show service everywhere they dont have service. I called them to tell them their tower fell off.. and they were like WHAT. dont ever ever ever buy T-Mobile if u r NJIT student or going near NJIT. just Dont. instead buy a PSP... that way u can play games better!

Folks, if you want a great deal on minutes including a service that is very good, then this company is for you. I agree that a few years ago Voicestream wireless which is now T-Mobile was very poor in service, although these past few months / years have brought on great increases in service as well as quality in this companies coverage and customer service. Worth the purchase..ut before you do ask about there PCC in there sotres.. it's very interesting and fact finding..

Whats the hell is wrong T-Mobile, I think people in this area would love to have this companies service due to reasonable prices on plans, but how can you even pay that with no service at all. Get on the ball and throw a site in Ironbound already!!

I get no reception on the 1st floor. Even if it reads 5 bars, I have to go to the 2nd floor to send a text. Occasional dropped calls in the second floor. Spotty reception throughout the hospital across the street.
