The new cell tower at the fire station located on the corner of Martine Ave and Raritan Rd.should be fully operational in the near future. Verizon appears to have placed a "Cell On Wheels" (COW) at the fire station for the moment, so coverage in the immediate area (including the Shackamaxon country club and Tamaques Park) has improved considerably. Once the main tower is activated, coverage throughout the area should improve dramatically.

can no longer use service when changed from a Samsung to a LG phone

Cingular within last 2-3 months or so did something to service. They improved it greatly. Before I used to get about 2-3 bars max in the house and 0-1 in basement. Now it is mostly 5 and sometiimes four bar and same in the basement. It's about time Cingular!

When I updated my phone program for new cell towers last month my reception increased from 1 to 3 bars but not in all parts of the house. As a result I am using my cell phone at home more than I did before.

Reception was average when we first moved in Feb '05 on Motorola V505- since the last two months way downhill. calls drop in and out; inconsistent signal; cant use cell in house or anywhere south of hetfield. Cingular claims they are doing cell tower integration on a tower 3 mi from here. Switched to a sony s710a- suppose to be good reception-even worse.

Very bad reception in and out of house. Even if I get a call it will probably be lost. Heard cell tower might be going up at the Southside Firestation (hopefully it will or I'll never get reception). Calls are always fading in and out (unlike the cammercials).

EXCELLENT service with both Cingular and AT&T in this area, I've had both. NEVER a dropped call.

Very poor inside the house - spotty outside.

Poor reception in this area. Constantly drops out. Verizon Wireless main office is located in Newark, which begins two streets down from me. Go figure. I am constantly being thrown into the "Roaming" zone without warning and get extra charges up the wazoola! Very disatisfied... >=(

Impossible to receive or make calls at home. When driving, calls are routinely dropped when I'm within 1.5 mile radius of the house. What a pain.

What a waste of an otherwise good cell phone carrier. My service works everywhere I need it expept my home.

Just a few blocks down from Cooper, however the signal is non-existent. Cannot make a call and if already on a call... it will be dropped. Never fails.

No reception at all in house. None, Zip, Zero, Nada. Phone never ever rings in house. Signal goes up to below average once outside.
