Switched from an old Noika to an LG VX7000. Dropped from 4 bars to 1. Unfortunately the word fully digital means no-support-for-analog-signal. 70% of calls are now dropped the remaining are very choppy. Tribands are still a better choice.

Works great as long as one is near top of hill...

Good reception in most of Montgomery. In the area of the Cherry Valley residential development, the coverage is very poor. Frequent dropped calls, or no coverage at all. On Route 206 there is a small mountain / big hill near the Princeton / Montgomery line (in Princeton). All calls get dropped at the top of this hill (and this is a pretty major road). This is not just because of my old phone (N200)... my wife has an 8200 which supposedly gets good reception. Sprint PCS has great coverage in the Pike Run Development in Montgomery, and in Carnegie Center in Princeton on Route 1.

Montgomery is fine, just about everywhere, except River Rd. (Hillsborough). However once you enter Princeton its a bad story. Princeton is a nimby town, so you can expect bad coverage. Nassau st is okay.
