most days no reception, sometimes 1 to 2 bars. T-Mobile lied about the coverage in the area and then refused to refund the plan. Had to pay for a year for three phones that mainly functioned as paperweights. Bought the phone at the kiosk at Rockaway mall. Now have Cingular, it is much better but not great. Still find myself standing in the road to make a call.

Reception's alright most of the time. But sometimes my calls disconnect, and there are also many black holes in my area.

No reception in my house. Many no service spots along Glen Rd. between Oak Ridge and downtown Sparta. Verizon was supposed to install an antenna a couple of blocks away but I can't find out what the status is on this.

I generally have pretty decent reception, occasionally I'll fall down to 1-2 bars, but usually at 4 bars. I was very annoyed when I found that I was charged $42 for overuse charges for delayed minutes from a prior month when my phone was supposedly not connected to a Verizon tower and I had no idea.

Due to the terrain, mountains, valleys etc. the reception in Sparta, NJ is spotty particularly at my home.

For the most part, I can always connect when placing calls. I live in a very hilly area and despite that, there is only one black hole that on occasion I can maintain a call through. I'd say that 98% of the time, calls come through to me. That 2% of the time, calls will go directly to my voice mail, but that's rare. The coverage has been excellent over the last 8 years and friends who have been with AT&T have seen that Verizon has better coverage.
Verizon's customer service is another story. I've had repeated problems with them, so if you have to talk to a representative, go to a Verizon store, or take notes of when you called and who you talked to. At one time, it took 10 months to get an overcharge on my bill cleared up. This was caused by Verizon not switching me to a plan with more minutes. Month after month I had to call before it got straightened out. And I still wasn't satisfied with the results.
If their coverage wasn't as good as it is, I would have switched a long time ago.
