I know for a fact that the reception is bad in this area of Teaneck because the community has so far successfully fought the erection of cel phone towers along route 4 near the high school. I am a resident in this area, and have opposed the tower(s), so I'll take the resulting lousy reception. My Garmin GPS Navigation device also cannot find initial satellite reception in a lot of Teaneck. The state will eventually overrule on the grounds of public safety, if it hasn't happened already. Such is life. The wheels of progress will eventually roll over us all, and tell us it's for our own good.

Cingular is inconsistent. Most of the time, I have around 4 / 5 bars. However, the numbers fluctuate constantly. Even if I have 3 bars, the number may plummet to zero within seconds, and the call is lost. Generally, service is crisp and solid. Most of my peers have Verizon, so I am often blamed for any dropped calls. For this area, I believe most have Verizon. It's probably the reliable choice.
