Simple Mobile is using T-Mobile towers and I'm extremely happy with the service. Left AT&T because the indoor coverage was really poor.

Went up to visit family this past week and things must have changed a lot since the previous reviews posted for the area. I never once had less than a full signal or lost a call. Great coverage... ignore the other reviews

If Nextel"s Phones were as good as their service, they would be a terrific company!

Anywhere you go in town now, Sprint has great coverage. Within the past year they added 4 new towers within Toms River, and in other surrounding towns the coverage is awesome. The only time I don't get service is when I am inside a bank or a food store. Other than that, it's great.

Better service than Verizon in most areas of Toms River, Brick, Lakewood. The dead areas in Silverton have been gone for a little over a year. The dead spot by Ocean County College that you get with Cingular and Verizon is no longer a problem with Nextel. After having Verizon for 2 years, Cingular for one year, and Nextel for 2 years, I must say that Nextel far surpasses them both. Several friends have switched over and could not be happier.

Since the merge in Nov with ATT, Cingular has greatly increased in all areas giving me almost perfect reception everywhere. Even where nothin worked in my house behind the Wawa on Fischer and Bay, now I get three bars. I tried Nextel. Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. All here and all completley dead.

I think all cell companies have forgotten TR. I am paying for a brick every month. My 3GS only works in NYC and once out of Toms River, it slightly improves.

Verizon Broadband Access and cellphone service is horrible. Broadband Access runs between -92 and -119db with frequent drops. This development is right in the middle of a three tower triangulation. Yet service is the worst I have ever experienced with Verizon. There are no tall structures to block the signals. When I was here last year, there was no problem. I contacted Verizon, and although the rep was polite and sympathetic, the problem remains unresolved as of this writing (11-14-2007). She was only able to forward a trouble ticket to engineering. They are supposed to call... hope they can get through.

It's like T-Mobile doesn't exist in Toms River. I felt like it was 10 years ago with my old phone wandering around the neighborhood looking for enough reception to make a call. Something is lacking for T-Mobile in this area
