Usually get great reception all over W. Orange (even up and down 280 going towards Newark or Parsippany - and even in those areas too - so whomever said they dropped around 280 - I think it's your phone!). Prospect Ave isn't a problem either (even from inside ShopRite, etc.) Sometimes in home (condo) I will get bars lowered in the front room and foyer (occassionally) - but since i'm surrounded by brick condos in a horseshoe, I can imagine the interference. Only time I notice a real problem is inside WholeFoods (between Prospect ave. and Eagle Rock ave.) Then you could be on a different planet - you'll get rings but only 1x on the bars. I have a feeling that a lot of people have poor coverage not by the area but by the phone. My old Samsung A670 had pretty good coverage, but nothing like the LG enV.

Along Northfield Ave between Prospect Ave and Pleasant Valley Way- bad reception. Black outs are consistent.

eagle ridge is a practical dead spot

switched frm verion and it is like night and day. like the ads say, more bars---many more. the area is covered just fine, where verion had serious holes.

the area near essex green shopping plaa is like a black hole. the plaa itself is ok, but the area around it is horrible, especially to the east--useless. had to switch despite an expensive phone.

Just moved from JC to W. Orange. My Sprint PCS phone has absolutely no reception in my home and within a radius of about 1 mile. If I go down I 280 East towards Newark reception recovers. I think I'll be switching to a different service and it's too bad because I really liked Sprint.

Calls drop like clockwork as you crest the hill on Rt 280 East and Mt. Pleasant Ave in West Orange. Use to only happen 10% of the time, now its 100%.

I used to get crappy reception with my old sprint phone but i think reception matters with the phone too. i still use sprint but changed the phone and excellent service.
