Paseo Del Norte | Tramway, Albuquerque, NM 87122

Horrible data speeds. Unlimited is irrelevant when top speeds are around 100 kbps. Things don't improve much around town. Paid the "get out of Sprint" fee and dumped the terrible service.

Service is pretty good, 4G is dependable, and the people that work at the store are really friendly! Phones are too expensive though. :(

I've seen a lot of comments about poor service with several different carriers and it looks like it just might be the air up here or something. Cricket seems to be no better or worse than higher priced carriers. I like not paying 200 for awesome features and ok service and unlimited everything. I generally go to the stores with issues and they are very friendly and helpful! Cust. Serv. over the phone sucks!

1 Out of 5 T-Mobile

Ellison and Golfcourse Rd. | Golf Course, Albuquerque, NM 87114

I drove around checking what download speed I was getting on my T-Mobile phone... . I checked several speeds at several locations around a 2 mile radius of my home... The BEST speed I was able to obtain was 0.16 Mbps NO WHERE NEAR the "UP TO 4G speeds" that my plans says I'll get.

Montano and Montano Plaza Rd. | Montano and Montano Plaza, Albuquerque, NM 87120

Why doesn't Verizon improve service here??? Lots of dropped calls.Instead of this, they are letting me out of my contract. I've been with Verizon for 20+ years and like that they have better coverage nationwide, but wish they would would on customer concerns for better coverage locally.

I've used Verizon on the West Side of Albuquerque for many years. Both voice and 4G services are reliable and seldom have issues.

2 Out of 5 AT&T

Comanche and Tramway, Albuquerque, NM 87111

I just recently moved to ABQ and I am very disappointed with the AT&T reception. If you look at the AT&T cell reception maps for both voice and data, the whole of ABQ has coverage. In fact, they are showing all of ABQ has LTE, which is not the case at all. The reception is very sporadic and the signal keeps dropping. I called AT&T and they told me there are no problems with the towers and I should contact Apple, so I called Apple and they did a few checks, and in the end they told me to go to the Apple store to get the phone replaced. After speaking to the rep at Apple he informed me this is a known issue with the new iPhone 5. After receiving my NEW iPhone I went home to see it this was any better, but after checking, I was still having the same problems (dropped data signal, calls going straight to VM). I decided to go back to Apple to inform them I was still having the same problems. This time I spoke to a different person and he informed me AT&T is upgrading all the towers in ABQ from 4G to LTE and it is causing major problems with the signals. I decided not to get a another NEW phone, but instead call AT& T to verify if is this is the case, and if so when would the new system be working. After talking to a very helpful AT&T operator, she informed they know about the issue (I don’t know why three of her other colleagues didn’t tell me about this when I first called). They don’t know when the new system will be up and running, but she kindly sent me a signal booster (in the mail and enroute) to ensure I have phone coverage. Hopefully this will work, or I might have to change networks.

I like the service except in my house. Many times, the phone won't ring and it goes straight to voice mail which I hate. Anybody living in this area, please let me know if you're happy with your service and what carrier you're using. Thanks ME

1 Out of 5 T-Mobile

Stagecoach SE | Via Posada SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123

Service fluctuates between 4g and 2g, mostly 2g so data is not possible. Forget answering your phone indoors--connection is either not possible or it sounds like you are talking under water. Installed a Wilson signal booster and antennas yet the tower it targets to increase signal strength is too far away to be effective. Exceptionally disappointing! Don't bother with T-Mobile in Four Hills.

Often cannot connect voice either incoming or outgoing, and usually the same for data. Horribly frustrating to have to keep a landline just because my cell phone won't work in this well populated neighborhood. Now, my office at work has changed location from one spot in downtown to another spot six blocks away and there's ZERO reception there. The AT&T Wireless regional office is right across the street ironically enough. Submitted to Verizon today to switch our account over to them, will it be better? Other tenants in the office bldg say yes, Verizon is the ONLY network that works in there. We'll see about my home.

1 Out of 5 AT&T

Candelaria | Rio Grande, Albuquerque, NM 87104

at certain times of the day my cell phone will NOT connect, even with a 20bB booster amp on the line. It's odd because texting will work ok, but not voice. I just moved the booster antenna to another location inside my trailer. The reception is very poor depending on what side of the trailer it's on. Now I know the trailer is wrapped in a metal skin, and I have an insulating metal foil material in the windows. The cell tower must be south of me, because the antenna in the north side window doesn't help, but the same on the east side gives me another bar, and now I can make and complete calls.

Sptint can' seem to get its act together in ABQ. Talk / text is mostly OK, but data is laughable. Keep promising 4G but still nada. They told me a while ago it would be 4g in ABQ by end of 2012. Time's runnin' out...

1 Out of 5 T-Mobile

Interstate 25 and San Antonio, Albuquerque, NM 87102

Tried dialing 911 because of a serious incident on Interstate 25 south. Phone had 4 bars, had to dial 3 times to actually get through. Reported this to T-Mobile several weeks ago and still waiting for a call back. Yesterday I filed a complaint with the FCC because of T-Mobiles lack of response. They have incompetent people working there.

The closer you get to the edge of Ventana Ranch the worse it gets. The signal is so weak inside the house you need to step outside to get 2 bars.

3 Out of 5 Verizon

Carlisle and Constitution, Albuquerque, NM 87110

I just moved to Albuquerque from PA at the beginning of June. For the first month things were fine, but then all of the sudden, my calls would drop out suddenly and without warning. I would be sitting on the couch and go from full 3G to zero service. I thought maybe my phone was just not what it used to be (Droid Pro was about 18 months old). Well, I recently got the Galaxy Nexus, 4G, ect. And still I have to call my parents two or three times to have a 20 minute conversation. The service drops out and then takes a minute or two to come back and then it's back to 4G. I live less than a mile from downtown and the University. There should be no service issues. It's not like I live in the foothills, next to an airport, or anything that would cause issues. I don't know what is up with verizon, but it's super ticking me off. Anyone have any ideas on resolution other than canceling the contract???

Pretty damn pissed off that there is no 4G / 4G LTE here for sprint. During the holidays it sucks here because everyone is using the cottonwood mall towers and I live in the apartments near them. Sucks!

Just moved to a new neighborhood, have three T-Mobile phones (all different models) and can't get reliable connections on any of them, particularly at night! Have called T-Mobile several times, and they assure me I have coverage because their map says so. Dumping them!

Service coverage is horrible and continues to get worse. Does not work in the Nob Hill / UNM area or at my office near Montgomery and Wyoming. Drops calls on freeway, Montgomery, areas of Paseo. Equipment is terrible. Been with Sprint for 4 years and switching was a huge mistake.

2 Out of 5 Verizon

Central, Albuquerque, NM 87106

Got 4g phone for faster service. 4g is slower than 3g for all internet activity. Very slow on initial loading, especially in the afternoons. Flickers between 3g and 4g icon. Usually get 3g with 4 or 5 bars and 4g with 2 or 3 bars. The whole icon disappears on the phone during the frequent and sometimes 10 minute outages. To be fair it sometimes works well but I can't figure out what's the common working variable.

Service is a joke. Their customer service is a joke. All they do is lie to you and want your money for the bad sevice. The technicians should run customer service. At least they aren't paid to lie to you and talk in circles. The prices we pay for everything for a smart phone neutralizes with the dumb choice of choosing their network. Make sure they're honest about everything before choosing any provider. It's like buying beach front property in Montana.
