I have had Sprint for about 5 years, but when I moved from Missouri to Albuquerque, the service has been TERRIBLE! I use a lot of data on my phone so unlimited data is good. The speeds, however, render the phone virtually worthless. Since the S3 doesn't have a WiMax antenna in it, Sprint's "4G" doesn't work. Most places around ABQ, I can get 3G, but in other places (like driving across Lomas), it's 1x or nothing. I ended up buying a Verizon Jetpack Mi-Fi device just so I can get some use out of my phone. It's stupid that I would even have to consider doing something like that and carrying around a second device with me just so I can use my phone the way it's designed to be used. Not to mention, it's another bill that I shouldn't have to pay. Verizon 4G speeds are wonderful. Sprint, meanwhile, charges $10 / month / phone for their "Superior Wireless Experience" fee. I have never once had a "Superior Wireless Experience" and it is absurd that that's what they are charging every user $10 / month / phone for. I called Sprint to have them take off the $10 fee from our phones. They gave me a 1-time credit of $20, but I still am required to pay the fee every month. Forget watching NetFlix on your device or even a freaking YouTube video. Sprint data in ABQ is the absolute worst. -Rick

I have been with Sprint for about eight months and am extreme dissatisfied. Text is always fine but calling is spotty and the data speed is a joke. What is the point of having unlimited if I can't even load a web page. I was told by Sprint that they will have 4g by October. They better because I'm about ready to bail and go with someone else.

I'm picking up LTE once and a while then it reverts back to 3G. A Friend of mine who works for Sprint told me there are testing the towers and installing new ones which is a lengthy process. There is 4G Wimax in the Albuquerque area only in Mid Town,Uptown and Downtown. Speeds are really fast! The 3G has improved and is much faster! I won't go with Verizon T-Mobile or att! Sprint is the real deal! Get sprint! I only get low bars when I get deep into Rio Rancho or bernalillo most of ABQ IS FULL BARS FOR ME!

I can not locate any towers in zip code 87122. My reception is terrible to non-existent most of the time. Is there anything that I or someone can do about the louse reception in North Albuquerque Acres and Sandia Heithts?

This is a dead zone for Sprint, right in the heart of Albuquerque. Internet speeds are very slow. Sprint has provided a signal booster for our house, but as soon as we walk out of the house our phones are dead. I see ads every day for Sprint 4G. For three years Sprint has been saying it is coming in 3 months. Any news about 4G?

From reading below all services seem to be bad here in Albuquerque. They probably need to add more towers. Sprint service is very slow, their wifi is even worst... I am not impressed at all! I've been with them for about two years but haven't been satisfied... but when I read about other phone services everyone seems dissatisfied.. When is Sprint going to 4G? they are way behind the program...

I've had virgin mobile / Sprint for two months. Their coveage is horrible not just at my house but all over town. Most calls are dropped. Data is slow. And this new iphone 4 I bought from virgin is about to become an ipaper weight because they won't unlock it so I can go to another carrier. If you are thinking of getting virgin / sprint don't!

Reception is spotty, some days fine, other days I can't keep a call going for more than 30 seconds. I have been with Sprint for years and their Customer Service has been outstanding. They have really worked with me to improve reception but I still have good days and bad days. The only consolation is that I hear the same thing from people using other carriers in this area. This is a very populous area, however, so there should be better connectivity regardless of carrier or phone type.

Horrible data speeds. Unlimited is irrelevant when top speeds are around 100 kbps. Things don't improve much around town. Paid the "get out of Sprint" fee and dumped the terrible service.
