T- Mobile reps informed Los Ranchos ressidents that T-Mobile actually needs towers EVERY SQUARE MILE in the Albuquerque metro area. Who is calling who selfish?
Cingular reception is not very good up here. Standing outside in the open air I get from three to four bars, but the minute I walk into a building the signal drops to one or no bars. If I am in my office and people call me, I can usually hear them, but they hear a broken version of what I say to them. Verizon seems to have a ton of towers in the Far NE Heights... would recommed them instead of Cingular for this area.
I live right south of Zia School (Nob Hill) and I have the worst reception. Not too many dropped calls, but people can almost never understand me. It is especially bad when I call people on other networks or landlines. They are trying to troubleshoot, but after reading the comments in this forum, I don't have that much hope. I'll update though, should something change. The area affected seems to be between Lomas and Central and Washington and San Mateo (N-S and W-E). I am going to keep complaining about this, because even outside the building it's not working too well.

Major streets are also rarely a problem.
The Los Ranchos de Albuquerque village has a one square mile dead hole for cellular service at the intersection. Do not get T-Mobile as a provider if you live in Los Ranchos! Los Ranchos is attenpting to contract with cell providers to put in a tower but selfish homeowners nearby are trying to block it 08 / 06
Very pleased with reception except on Golf Course Rd.south of Paseo del Norte. Sometimes drop signal on Coors near Paseo as well. No big deal, since unlimited minutes with Cricket! TravelTime using FlexBucket is good feature for occasional out-of-town travel. Customer service and tech support are NOT good, and any changes to account can result in loss of previous pricing agreements (even if the agent assures you it won't cause you to lose previous discounts). Overall, very pleased with value and reception. Customer for nearly 2 years. Whole family uses Cricket instead of having a landline. We keep considering other plans (since no contract), but nothing comes close to matching Cricket's unlimited plans!
Like a previous poster has said: reception in Nob Hill on T-Mobile has been getting steadily worse. I can no longer use my cell phone in my home and am currently attempting to get out of my contract. Something has definitely changed, but T-Mobile doesn't seem to know it and keeps telling me, and my friends, that we are in a good coverage area. Bizarre.
