Some dropped calls, but overall works good all around town. Usually never see less than 3 bars.

I've been with Sprint for a year now, and the service seems to be very "hit or miss." I just got a new phone, and the service is horrible. I went to every room of the house, outside, to the garage. It only improved when I plugged the phone into the charger (making it an IMmobile phone). I've also had some problems with the billing. As for the reception, I think it's a combination of the location and the phone. However, I live about a half mile from a Sprint store, directly in the middle of Albuquerque. I'm going to try and get out of my contract, because my phone is virtually useless.

Sprint is by far the best service in Albuquerque. I have never had a dropped call and further have never even heard my service flicker. The Central Store has by far the best customer service and the smallest lines.

T-Mobile coverage in Abq is very solid, I have never dropped a call in the year I have had them. Coverage is also good on I-25 to Santa Fe, Los Alamos and El Paso. They now roam on I-40 west of Albuquerque on AT&T (GSM) and works well. However their network in the state is VERY limited so check their coverage map to see if they work where you go. East of Tramway Verizon and Sprint have more drops than T-Mobile. Verizon is buying Qwest Wireless former CDMA spectrum in Abq so this MAY change soon. (Qwest now uses the Sprint PCS network.) If you always are in Albuquerque I would recommend T-Mobile over the others. Their coverage is good, they are cheaper, and they only require one year contracts. If you need a larger coverage area Verizon is usually a good choice.

AT&T absolutely sucks in Albuquerque for Both GSM and TDMA. I was with them for over 2 years and finally got fed up. Now I have Verizon, and I love it. I have had probably less than 10 dropped calls with Verizon in that past 2 years. Verizon rocks.

Being next to the mountain, sometimes we lose contact in the middle of conversation.
