My phone picks up good around the pecos area no bodys phone really picks up as well. My house is up the pecos canyon even farther away from the tower but I still get 1 or 2 bars right before Dolton Canyon and I can still make and recieve calls

My experience is that Alltels system is well run and works with few problems. If you have a problem you get various excuses and no actual help. We live in a remote area hence the ancient 3 watt.with a directional antenna. A regular cell phone only works in direct line of site with the tower which is 12 miles across on the mesa. Use in the village is erratic. The one problem that recurs is voice mail delay. Often we get our VM days late.

In Pecos my phone works fine placing and receiving calls I would actually rate it well above average. But as you head north on st rd 63 out of Pecos the 3g works a little better than the voice signal. We have only have 3g for about 4 months now in this area and I think its great that Verizon finally updated the data in this area but in nov. and dec I noticed I was about to use my 3g hotspot for gaming and now its gotten really hard to keep connected. Traveling to Pecos it usually works fine but the fact is its something that used to work rather easy. I really thing Verizon should add towers farther north of Pecos considering how much tourist travel here in the summer. Does anyone know if Verizon will be updating there service in this area anytime soon.
