Most calls received or sent are dropped or I have to go out my front door to continue the conversation. I was told that our HOA will not allow more cell towers to be erected, but I know that some people are able to get better reception. Before moving to this area about a year ago, I got great reception while living north of Seattle using the same phone.

I am rarely able to complete a call unless I go outside and face west. I am not able to receive some calls until minutes or hours after they are sent to me. Most of the time I get only two bars until I leave my home and community.

Fine reception for nearly 2 years. Now ZERO bars and ZERO 3G for most of the day. And I work at home! I need my phone!

We live in Tuscany. Everyone we have talked to about Verizon comments about the dropped calls and poor reception. Very frustrating and we feel that Verizon does not really care. We have called and customer service relates that they know they have a problem and are looking into into making the service more realiable. It is now two years having the same issue. Our contract is coming up so we will have to look at other carriers. Two of our friends have Sprint phones and have no problem in our area.

Used to have great reception at home. Since late Dec. 2010, dropped calls galore, multiple trouble tickets, and hours wasted with 'tech support'. Verizons resolution, "you live in a poor reception area". Really? for 6 years it was fine.

Never dropped a call in the first year I lived here... November of 2010, dropping calls like crazy..Verizon sucks

New cell and can not use it at home... ..wow so happy to be in a two year contract NOT!

1 bar... Texts show up 10-45 min late with some phone calls going through and others going straight to VM..while on phone call only last 1 minute before being dropped... leaving Verizon today! I cant take it anymore. they will do nothing except say buy a different phone

The Reception out here is unpredictable. There seem to be a lot of dead zones along Volunteer From St. Rose Pkwy. to Sun City Anthem. Hardly no reception inside my home which is in the Sun City Anthem neighborhood. Thinking about switching to AT&T but not sure whether AT&T is even worse.

I live pretty close to the edge of Henderson to the east. I was pretty worried about service since nothing else is really out here. But I get reception from all areas of my home.

No bars, no reception anywhere near my home. I receive voice mails days later. Very disappointed and am going to switch, but to which carrier? I need coverage in this area and which carrier can provide coverage in the Anthem area?

Overall Verizon performs well. We get 5 bars at our home. We have been with them for well over 8 years. There are some dead spots in Sun City. But nothing to make us drop our service. One is going by the golf course along Hampton. Another is along Volunteer and sometimes swinging down Somersworth to Anthem Parkway. The Nokia seems to bethe best phone with reception for Verizon. We used to have LG and just changing phones helped.

For the most part I always have 5 bars. I always get good service. For work I have a Nextel phone / radio and it is worthless. The Verizon has some dead spots but the Nextel has dead zip codes practically. If you loose service expect not to get it back untill you drive about a mile. All cell services are going to have dead spots and I think Verizon has the least amount compared to T-mobile, Cingular and Sprint / Nextel (All of which I have had or had close friends who had then went to Verixon).

Verizion is worthless in this area. Reception varies and almost every call is dropped.

Verizon coverage in Henderson NV is poor. I get awful reception at my home on S Eastern and Horizon Ridge. I have heard of so many complaints about dropped calls in this area. Verizon should expand their tower network to hang on to customers in this area. My new home is further South on Eastern, near the interswection with Atchley. Reception there is also poor.

I've noticed Verizon has some weird dead spots (zones) within Vegas / Henderson. Every time I'm driving South on 95 my phone cuts out between lake mead and college drive exits. Also Near Railroad pass on the way to boulder city it cuts also. I didn't have this problem with Sprint.

Only drop-off I've experienced in town is near Green Valley Ranch. Reception excellent everywhere else. Previously had AT&T, Sprint, and Nextel. Verizon by far best coverage in LV.

I'm a dedicated Verizon customer having been through so many carriers in Las Vegas that fall well short of the mark. Cingular, AT&T, T-Mobile. No wireless carrier is perfect, but my experience, based on my travel and calling patterns is that Verizon easily offers the best coverage hands down.. Call quality and reliability is based on two things: 1) Strength of carrier's network 2) And a good quality phone. Traditionally, I go tri-mode and recently had the Audiovox 9900 which is a great phone signal-wise. But I wanted more features in a phone so I picked up the LG VX-8000. Amazing reception! Two weeks into this phone and I'm amazed that I have yet to drop any calls in dificult areas. I couldn't be more pleased!

I moved here in June of 2004. At the time I was with T-mobile but switched to Verizon since all my relatives were on the friends and family network. In the last 6 months I have had more than 10 times the number of dropped calls than I ever had since 1996. It does not matter if I am at home near Horizon Ridge and Eastern, down on the strip, or in Summerlin. Within a couple of seconds I can go from having 5 bars on my cell phone to none - and a dropped call. Next June I plan on going back to either T-mobile or maybe Cingular - there is no way I am going to stick with this service at $43 a month. I called Verizon and customer service told me it was because the phone was "all digital" and that they didn't have the digital coverage in all areas. The question with Verizon is not if I will have a dropped call - it is when and how many times in a day.

This whole area of town suffers from nonexistant or poor service.

I have had Verizon for 3 months now and I can not belive how bad they are! We have dropped 84 calls in 3 weeks! Now thats bad. Verizon could care less. I find I drop 1 out of 3 calls! It's so bad that I am going to pay the 350.00 to get out! The problem is what provider do I go with?
